Damn straight, death to all carob!
As a matter of fact, why not go a step further and make Carob a swear word. It could be a nasty, belittling way of calling someone a cheap or poor imitation of something else. Instead of calling someone unoriginal or a copy cat you could call them "Carob"

Indeed! And that's giving tree bark a bad name!

(Never tasted tree bark, but imagine it's much like drinking tea without the water)

Hi ho! Ellen here. We are still without power, but I am staying a couple nights with my brother, who does have power. Yay! Micio is doing all right, she is still at my Mom and Dad's. She's been a little hot in her fur coat, and wondering why I don't turn on the lights, but she's fine. She can see better in dim light than I can! She was smart during the storm, she got in the closet. It feels very strange to be sitting here in the nice airconditioning. I wish they would hurry up and get power to my place though. Best estimate is another week or so. The traffic lights won't be fixed for a month though - so many were damaged that they are on backorder. I'm trying not to drive - I don't want to get in a wreck on top of everything else.

Hi Jeelen *waves happily* Glad to hear from you.
Too bad it will take that long! We have heard very little about it here which is kind of odd. The weather is usually a big topic.
I hope your parents are holding up well.
Glad is smart and safe

I think I'll just refuse to answer on the grounds that it may incriminate me!

Thanks Pheloxi!
Here's a few more tidbits about the storm:
I read that several people were saved by their dogs. The animals whined until they got out of bed - and the next thing they knew a tree trunk was laying where they had just been sleeping.
The storm came on very very quickly. On frantic jogger ran up to people's doors and tried to get in, but the air pressure was too great, and she couldn't get the door open. So she ran into an open garage and crawled under a car. Dramatic stuff.
I was scared for a few minutes, but the storm was over so quickly I didn't even have time to become terrified.

Sounds terrible JEllen, we haven't had anything that bad since a tornado hit areas of the city about 10 years ago.
