yes GreyDesk, but this gambling is taking place in my journal now, isn't it?
I think a 10% cut on all bets would be enough for me to all these illegal activities to continue

Running a book has been perfectly legal since the early 1960s

I have no intention of wading through four pages of your backlog, guys - I'm only pointing out this, from post 1:
"Lie 1: "there's no need for an ACE when you've got a yikes button and a moron in the same vicinity."
since i was the one yikesing then this is Hoovooloo calling me a moron. which i am not."
Passing over the fact that at the time spook had not in fact admitted to being the person doing the yikesing...
A matter of opinion. My dictionary (Collins Concise Revised Third Edition 1995) says:
"Moron: (1) a stupid or foolish person".
Just saying you're not one doesn't stop you being one, spook. And I can point to any number of posts by you which back up my assertion that you are, in fact, a moron.
"Lie 2: "Constructive and mature as I have come to expect from you, spook. You certainly don't disappoint."
this was meant in a sarcastic way as the reverse, so i was being called unconstructive and immature."
I'm impressed that spook spotted the sarcasm here - he's not usually that bright.
It was sarcastic. Spook's response to a request for an apology was a single line posting containing a
Now, if that is not immature and unconstructive, please, tell me what is.
This will continue until Tango apologises for lying about me. I'm VERY patient...

"My dictionary"
It's a tiny quibble but I don't think most people would be relying on a concise _and_ revised dictionary of the language.
I always preferred the "medical" definitions of idiot, imbecile and moron. It amused me a lot to observe over time that speakers of English degenerated so far in their knowledge of the language that the fashion in insults went from what was the lowest IQ to the only slightly-subnormal one while simultaneously implying it was a more extreme insult.
However, leaving the real official definitions aside, most people would see it as a more extreme insult than implied by that trite concise phrase in Collins.

Is it something to do with the 12 days of christmas?
Five doves of peace
Four bawling rows
Three arguments
Two accusations
And a topic drift in this thread!
No?

With 2 more of them (and the right nickname?) it could have been "peaces of eight".

No, I'm not going insane, spook, thank you for your concern.
Perhaps you can tell us what constructive and mature thoughts were
contained in post 384 of "Peer Review and Quality Control",

... since someone (not me - I yikes nothing but the most outright trolling) seems to have considered what you wrote in there to be so offensive it needed hiding, and the moderators agreed?

yup. sure is.
and moron is not a factual description of me, only an insult you have used. you canot prove i am a moron, especially not from a couple of posts. by that logic i can prove you are a moron from a couple of posts. sine you cannot prove i am a moron, you are therefore a liar. prove unarguab;ly that i am a moron and Tango was wrong. if you cannot prove inarguably hvl, then it can be but an insult, and you therefore lied about me, and Tango therefore did not lie.
