Tango - Hoovooloo Paradox
GreyDesk Posted May 18, 2003
The concept of Hoovooloo shutting up is one I am struggling with However if this journal entry takes the matter away from other threads then it will be a good thing.

"An opinion is not honest, nor is it a lie."
An opinion is honest if it is actually an opinion you hold. it may not be true, but is honest.

QUOTE: as is lying
I think you're missing my point, Spook. Would you like me to spell it out?
---SPOILER ALERT---
Tango apologises, Hoovooloo goes away.
---END SPOILER---

Tango apologises - Tango loses all reputation as an unreasonable person
I did ask hvl to talk to me on my PS so we wouldn't annoy other people, he did post to me PS but continued to post everywhere else as well.

I'm playing the card, Spook.
If I was in Tango's situation I would apologise regardless of whether I was guilty of said crime. As I said, pride is a sin.

Tango Posted May 18, 2003
I disagree, pride is not a sin, as long as it is not misplaced, it is a very good thing.

Whereas
hoovooloo is capable of lying.

Unless hoovooloo does not understand the difference between 'banned and 'put on premoderation', hoovooloo made a decision to lie and then followed through,
And whereas
That hoovooloo lied in this case can never be proven or disproven,
And whereas
Neither party in this dispute seems willing to back down,
Therefore, be it resolved
That the bickering and backbiting shall continue until one or both of the parties to this dispute are placed on premoderation, suspended or hospitalized with dangerously high blood pressure
And that
This bickering and backbiting shall continue to serve no purpose other than to entertain those who enjoy watching bickering and backbiting and the elevation of other peoples' blood pressure.
LET THE GAMES CONTINUE!!!

Who's the nameless researcher incidentally? I wouldn't have thought a brand new registration would've pulled those links out...

OK: first sentence, grammar shot to buggery, incidentally should have gone at the beginning- sorry aboutt hat unreadable mess.
I'll try again:
"Incidentally, who's the nameless researcher ? I wouldn't have thought a brand new user would've pulled those links out..."
There, that reads much better. i'll have to start using the preview button.

Well, the posting style looks like spook plus a spellchecker.
The phraseology looks like Hoovooloo minus the capital letters.
Both suggestions are probably wrong. More Egon?

egon Posted May 18, 2003
Interestingly (to me at least), The style suggests that the poster has read at least one UN resolution, as they always follow that pattern of "whereas" this, "recalling" that and "resolving" the other.

An interesting point
Looking at the age of the account (2 hours old) versus the age of thread (5 hours) I have an idea who may be the controller.
