TripQ's Intro
Hi there,
I'm a full-time mass spectroscopist* and part-time tutor of Foundation Science for the Open University. I've also been an OU student for 15 years. Many of my friends think I know everything. But one thing I have learned is the more I know, the more I realise there is I don't know.
* A mass spectroscopist is somebody that runs a mass spectrometer. A mass spectrometer is an expensive machine that weighs molecules, splits them up into bite-sized chunks and weighs the bits. A good mass spectroscopist can then put those bits back together in a 3D jugsaw puzzle (with some bits missing and other bits overlapping) to figure out what the original molecule was.
