I am a new Person/Maniac
I have recently fallen victim to moderation.
When I found that something I had written had been deemed so offensive, lude, indesnet or in anywayagainst someone that it must be removed...I was shocked and quite upset by the thought that I may have caused offence to someone.
You can imagine my surprise when I realised that It had been sensored due to a small amount of it being In Spanish!
I had made what i thought was an intelligent and above all freindly reply...well in-keeping with the spirit of H2G2, to someone who I felt had hinted that they new some spanish and i thought it would be nice to use some back.
I really can't see the problem with it and don't understand why our conversations are monitored purely to protect peoples feelings. If I had been offensive in some way then the people involved could merely pass on the information to the moderators and ask them to arbitrate.
Anyway aside from all this my time with h2g2 has been quite infrequent due to my recent examinations but i hope to put more in during the coming months. If anyone has any online clubs, organisations or research projects that are being caried out and need additional assistance I will be more than happy to lend a hand.
Finally I wish to apologise for the wide vocabulary I am currently using... I have spent the past 2 years studying English. Thats all behind me now so with a combination of Vodka and student parties I should be back to normal in no time.
