Smugnitude

The amount, strength or magnitude of a given subjects smugness. For example, it is well documented that doors have "an unnerving air of smugness" around them when about to open, indicating that their own smugnitude is very high.
Smugnitude, to my best knowledge has no real scale that anyone knows of or can be bothered remembering or talking about so in the absence of intelligent arbitration I have created my own smugnitude scale.

1 Being not very smug for a human and quite socially tolerable.
2 Being unpleasant but not worthy of direct GBH to end it, however usually found by most people as annoying.
3 Being highly annoying were force is all most sertainly used along with choice frases begining in "Shut up...Stop lookin at me like that...right Im gonna give you a kickin you smug___"
4 Being a dangerous level usually only found in computers when issuing error messages and cats who have actually got some cream (this is very rare, please avoid it)
