Thinking of the next part to this story, I'm just trying to imagine a scenario that sends the agency into space (AKA Moonraker -- oooh ooh leicester cat and Tim inside extinct volcano, it can be just like James Bond but without Blofeld. just the cat in the swivel chair!! smiley - cool)

as well as the Bismark Fetisits (remember them? smiley - bigeyes) the dyinmg pilchard bleeds under the turquoise moon and the hook from last time of anabell appearing to be this sort of double agent for a religous sect.

Y'know I just re-read the end of the sotry where God goes on Holiday and I'm dying to write some more to this now.

Consider the h2G2 Storytime project definatively back in action. smiley - biggrin

*Claps hands in glee*

Expect that prologue bit from me some time over the weekend. And do you want any other clarifying scenes? The editing seems to have taken care of any continuity problems, but if any remain I can be in there with the literary equivalent of sealing gel smiley - ok

Bismarck Fetishists - definitely! And I wait with baited breath for revelations on *that* phrase

Viz: the Bizmark fetishists - I was wondering - there was an old gag about bizmark not riding in the blimps cos the spear wopuld pop the balloon - perhaps work in a whole sequence of them travelling up in this contraption - heath-robinson style.

Heath-Robinson? Haven't heard of it. Yees. They could be historical recreationist anarchists, recreating the Zeppelin bombings of WW1 in the skies above England.

*Inner history geek screams 'But Bismarck played no part in the First World War! It's simply unthinkable! Implausible-'*

*Slaps inner history geek, tells him to get back to the cellar*

But what if they put corks on the spiky helmet bits? smiley - wow They'd be invincible!

*can just see X and Arthur stumbling across a warehouse filled with Corks.*

"My God! says Arthur.

"Yeah," said X - "which greedy b*****d drank all that wine?"

"No!" - don't you see cried Arthur in near appoplexy - they could ...on the head...the wotsit - they'd be unstoppable.

"Do you hear?"

"Yes. Footsteps. Quickly! We shall have to hide them!"

"How?"

Take a look here - i just did a search on google. It's mostly irrelevant from what i can see but take a quick shufty at the 3rd major paragraph (excluding the odd line or two) UP from the very Bottom - it alludes to something of the heath-robinson style and that is what *I* meant.

Oh and just so you know - I've decided to move the story of Smittington's accident to Guy's debrief. I was running it through in my head last night and that's where it belongs since it detracts from the forward thrust of the story with Rasputin and God etc. It worked in the forums but one the single page write-up it looks decidedly out of place.

re: clarifying scenes.

Would it be possible to draw up a little extension for the Guy confronts Cryo-clown la scala opera house. Something little more explosive - having the dog (where the hell did that come from anyway???) just jump on him fells like an opportunity missed if you knwo what I mean.

Tell me what you think.

While we're on the subject - I've pulled the whole la scalia opera house mission up a couple opf paragraphs.

It dawned on me while I was writing up leicester's fight scene in the hotle (and can i just say I was laughing myself silly as I coded - "..." Heddingly explained. - smiley - laugh? I nearly spilt my smiley - tea. smiley - winkeye)

anyway, yes...it dawned on me that Jill rings up Guy after Bob's mention of stone henge...HE'S IN ITALY. He hops on a plane and flies back to England.

Then in a sequence of events that can take no more than about 20mins or so...The group summon leicester and he decimates them - cullminating with heddingly crashign down on the bonnet of Guy's car.

The timing was just all wrong.

So - I've lurched it up to before The Red baron's encounter with the truker from Calais. Nothing much happens in terms of plot moving forward in that time other than God and Satans phone call and some scenes with Rasputin. It's just another attempt to fudge the question of timing by forcing the reader to believe that tiem has passed between these events without sayign so out loud.

smiley - ok

Yeah, I had noticed that little discrepancy too. I explained it away to myself by saying that well, Tim has been asleep for an unspecified length of time after Jill makes the call - and Guy possibly has some super-fast form of transport...nuclear-powered UPS van, anyone? smiley - erm But editing it a little to reduce the howlers is definitely the best course. smiley - ok

One more thing - in the line about the hotel room being trashed - "He found the door hanging off it's hinges and the room so thoroughly trashed even Keith Richards would have been impressed." - it should be Keith *Moon*, the Who drummer, not Keith Richards. smiley - erm I have no idea who Keith Richards is, but Moon was famous for trashing hotel rooms and blowing himself up and it was he that I meant to type at the time smiley - doh That little error has been bugging me every time I read over the story.

I'm coding the story still (in between drink more smiley - tea reading a book smiley - geek and filling in a job application form smiley - flustered)

So I'll make that chnage for you. smiley - ok
