We got it second hand from some company or other that had sensative information on it. They need to wipe it completely (if you've tried using norton wipeinfo, you'll know how long that can take on just a small disk) and then I need to install all our packages so it could be anything up to a couple of months

I haven't tried doing that to a disk. I have tried to avoid inadvertantly doing that.

As an example, the last disk I did it on was 4gb...it took 12 hours. These disks are 100 times the size and we have 5 of them

Well you said you cant post what you wanted to...that means that instantly I am overcome with the feeling that I've missed the best ever response to any comment anybody has ever made in the entire history of the universe - its the thingy ultra-cricket principle....the feeling you get going away from a game having not seen any of it is that you've just missed the most entertaining thing in history

Did you ever fix your email, or would you rather an IM for that reply?

I got an email from somebody at 6:30pm saying that my email had been sent (advertising thingy) it arrived at 7:45pm so its not too bad - and that was through a bulk mailer and they're pretty slow anyway...
