Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear }

Pack lots of granola bars and stuff, and start hitching now. You ought to arrive early ... in time to wait the mandatory 3 hours for a smiley - doctor.

On the upside, you might find a PowerBall ticket, and have more money that any 600 people know what to do with. If so, my phone number is ... smiley - laugh

Amy, you're lucky to be in the middle of nowhere, rather than on the edge of nowhere. People on the edge have even fewer services than you have. smiley - sadface

Well, on the upside, my last pregnancy went perfectly, so I'm not worried on that score. Plus, if there are cancellations, everyone moves up. Only problem is that, barring moving out of the county, I can't really think of *good* reasons for OB appointments to be cancelled, can you (keeping in mind that this is the *only* OB)... Unless a baby's a few days early (as opposed to premature)...

If a baby comes early at birth, is it always on time the rest of its life? smiley - tongueout

My brother-in-law was a month early and according to family members, hasn't been on time since!smiley - laugh

I was nearly a month late, and I'm only on time if there is some (usually financial) incentive.

Oh, I don't know--you were on time just last month, before you had to try to follow directions from someone who follows that route automatically because there's sidewalks the whole way and therefore that's the easiest way to get the stroller downtownsmiley - laugh

*note to self--see if it would be cheaper to get replacement parts or just get a new one of the same model, since the thing held up well with 3.5 years of almost daily use...*

Yippieee Amy! What does Faith think about all this? Interesting if they are about five years apart! My sister and I are a bit over two years apart ... friends of ours have two daughters that are about ten years apart ... anyways all the best to you all!

I hope some of her friends have names like Leslie, Dana, or Robin, which can be used for a boy if that's the gender that the baby arrives with. smiley - winkeye

Yes, you are, oh-my-older-twin smiley - winkeye

A boy will have Edmund as a middle name--it was my dad's middle name. Why don't I use his first name? For one, neither Tom nor I are very fond of the name Kenneth, and for another, since my dad had an Uncle Ken and a cousin named Ken, he went by Ed anyway. A tribute for my mom will be a bit tougher--her first name, Charmaigne, is one that I'm not too fond of (neither was she) and her middle name was just D--like Harry Truman's was S. I suppose I could just pick a name that starts with D *shrug*

See, Tom and I agreed to alternate namings last time I was pregnant--with the not-chooser having a veto if they absolutely can't stand a name. Tom got to choose firstsmiley - ok
