OK, now I'll quit being so mysterious
The business I needed to get licensed for is making these: http://www.disciplescross.com You can either sell back to the company or sell them on your own (which is more profitable) And that's why I wanted to wait to give any details--99.99...% of home assembly jobs are scams, and I didn't want to deal with those that would assume that this is, too. Or those that would say that since there's a selling element, that I'd not do well. (I'm including myself among the naysayers, btw.)
But I have just wholesaled a dozen to a small christian bookstore, and retailed 4 to a friend that I thought was just going to buy 1, so I've made $100 yesterday and today. And I've got a display at my church's bookstore--the bookstore didn't buy them, I've just got counter space, but that means I'll get $10 each instead of $5 (or even the $7.50 I'd get to keep if I had them on consignment).Laurie doesn't charge sales tax on stuff that people are selling through the church bookstore, so I'm not going to be reimbursed for the $.77 each, but $9.23 is still more than $5 or $7.50.
So yes, I'm happy

I have a secret affection for pink, magenta, and lavender.
But lagoon blue is the surest way to my heart.

I like purple a lot, but rarely wear it anymore as I end up looking silly by wearing blue jeans and purple shirt

My dear Amy, big
I am soooo thrilled that you have found something that you can do at home whilst caring for Faith. It really is wonderful and is, I am sure, the answer to prayer.
I wish you every success in your endeavours.
Much affection to the three of you.

Okay, never mind.
Unfortunately, there's not a lot else to talk about in this thread, so I may have to topic-drift like crazy.
We're getting rain up the gazoo here in Boston today.

'bout that Paul--I was in a mood last night...
They're about 1 1/2" by 1",with an adjustable cord, so you can wear one as a choker or as a longer necklace. http://www.disciplescross.com/images/assets/johnraymond.jpg gives a rough idea of the size

It's okay, Amy. Go ahead and be in a silly mood.
My lawn is drowning, and my front walk is under six inches of water. I have Hungarian goulash simmering on the stove. When it finishes simmering, I have to take off my shoes and socks, go outside, and wade through the water to turn off the LPG tank that feeds gas into my stove. I am not looking forward to this, even though it's not terribly unpleasant.
My ankle doesn't hurt nearly as much as it did Sunday, tyhanks to ibuprofen, an ankle support, and a crutch. I just wish I could get out more.
