h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

The thing that is really bothering me at the moment is that it just feels like the bbc all over again, only back in the Jimster days. I don't see the community being supported, and I see alot of energy going into the EG. Maybe there is a longer term plan, but it grates when there were those of us who *were* willing and able to do the community side of things and were effectively shut out of the process (albeit unintentionally for the most part).

The scarey part is that I'm not sure how many people would even understand what I mean by community.

I am tired of the mod situation and feel really ground down by it and I'm gutted that Ed has left

but for me that thread has been very measured and I feel that it could go somewhere and have been able to put the ground downess aside and contribute with genuine goodwill and in the hope that maybe it is a start, a little step.

Have you seen the announcement in Ask? Can't say I am particularly surprised but it feels heavy in my heart. I have no doubt the EG will survive, but I doubt this is the last thing we will see that changes the community fundamentally.
