Thank you for the links, they are lovely critters, I did expect them to be huge for some reason but like I said I am really ignorant when it comes to you wild life...
Hiccup is chatting to her friend in Mexico and Spiller is playing on his laptop so in desperation I have fired up his works 'puter, it is dinky and I am not very good at driving it
Thanks

Lounging around on the sofa today I was thinking that sometimes these timezones are right awkward sometimes and if I won the lottery perhaps we could meet up somewhere sort of half way, if you felt so inclined.
As it happens I have a world map above my sofa so Galapagos or the Maldives, any preferance
Thanks
I was thinking the Galapagos because for some reason I'd rather be in the Pacific Ocean than.... is that the Indian Ocean? But really the chances of you getting me on an international flight are so remote as to be non-existent
I could go by boat though or swap my kea wings for albatross wings. The young albatrosses here go out to sea for two years before coming back, so I'm sure I could make to the other side of the Pacific
Thanks

Was too busy trying to see how many asterisks were needed to get past the filter.
And... happy Samhain. It's Beltane here of course, but I love the global symmetry
Thanks
Peanut Posted Nov 1, 2011
potty mouth , but yeah share those sentiments
Happy Belthane
I think I have successfully scared of any evil spirits from my garden, with the aid of a frying pan and a wooden spoon and we had some real cutie trick or treaters this year.
I need a telescope, I want to see Jupiter's moons and don't have anything with the welly to that
Thanks
Peanut Posted Nov 2, 2011
Galapagos it is then, you by boat or using your wings me by plane
I haven't owned a car for years, nor left these shores, I watch my food miles, recycle and spend less than a tenner a week on energy bills even in winter
So, lottery tickets comes up, I'm getting on a plane, long haul but otherwise I plan to be very eco and ethical.
*frowns* is it ethical to visit the Galapagos, if we take out the travel miles?
Thanks
No I don't think it is . Apparently when flying from here to the UK planes go directly north until over Asia and then head west. They probably do that going the other way, so we could meet in Mongolia or somewhere. I could hang out in a yurt for a while, especially if there are horses around.
If we had lots of money, and karma credits we could meet in Bhutan
Otherwise you'd have to stop over in somewhere like LA. Ooooh, oooh, we could meet in Hawaii! I have a cousin there.
Thanks

What's a welly?
Thanks
Peanut Posted Nov 2, 2011
Wellies are rubber boots, that farmers wear for instance
Welly in the context of what I said means 'Ummpph' My binoculars don't have enough ummph to see jupitar's moons but a telescope would
Then there is welly wanging atraditional pastime at fetes and stuff when people compete to see who can throw a welly the furtherist
I have always fancied Mongolia
Thanks

I know that you are busy but I have been finding this a right gem and didn't know if you had come across it http://wsogmm.h2g2.com/dna/h2g2/classic/F22114266?thread=8281940
Thanks
You use goo!!!
That looks interesting! I'm sufficiently braindead to not get past post two today, but will subscribe
FInding such things to do on h2g2, it's probably a good strategy
Thanks
Peanut Posted Nov 3, 2011
Don't you be dissing my goo, I'll put your rent up, as squatters rights are going right out the window
and as you say, far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small, unregarded blue and white website
that thread has meant a lot to me, not just the content but in terms of what an amazing place h2g2 can be
Thanks
Yes, but it doesn't say "far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small, unregarded excessively blue website"
Thanks

Lettuce all be forever grateful that it makes no mention of barfespew
Thanks
I miss the look of barley though, that beautiful FP with DNA and the dolphins. Not that I actually used it, but I did go and gaze from time to time.
Thanks
Peanut Posted Nov 3, 2011
Scandalous as it to say, I like dolphins but I wouldn't swim with them
and I am still really bloody peeved that Spiller saw actual dolphins from the Hell Mouth
but that is completely differantly tangent (s)
as goodlooking as barfespew was, didn't cut it for me
and don't be specting any sense from me until, I'll say tomorrow lunchtime but I know you won't be judging me in the meantime
Thanks
Sounds like a good opportunity for me not to make sense too
Hellmouth? I take it he wasn't an extra on Buffy the Vampire Slayer?
Thanks
Peanut Posted Nov 3, 2011
no that was a different Hellmouth but there was another Buffy Hellmouth not far from here, just as well Giles knew all about it
However the Hellmouth, or Hell's Mouth that I is refering too and the particular one we frequent, did do an impressive tumble I should dig out youtube
as far we we can make out, no dolphins were harmed, and we think that the baby seals had probably moved on...
Key: Complain about this post
Thanks
