I'm getting less and less inclined to be good-humoured of late - Entries are being removed from the Edited Guide at an alarming rate. I never used to see any, but they're being taken away.
Anyone got any good conspiracy theories? Are the Eds being forced to by someone from on high? Is there someone trawling the EG for material that they can take offence at for fun?
I don't know the real reason. Enlighten me! Why are good Entries being hidden, deleted or removed from the Edited Guide which we all work so hard to promote and produce?
Whoami?

i read something where a researcher was also complaining about their edited entry having been removed...
doesn't make sense somehow... i would think that once an entry has been through the peer review any small chance of having any potential offensive content in it has been removed in the first place...
i would be interested to know more as well as it's certainly not encouraging me to [eventually] produce an entry for submission to peer review if there are risks that even once edited it can be removed...

I hope the editors have a good appetite, eating the _whole guide_ // waving hand gesture // isn't like eating a couple of moxons worth of you know.

Sounds worrying. What sort of entries are being eaten? Is it early stuff that wouldn't make it through PR these days, or proper decent entries?

Recent stuff and stuff by respectable Authors, too. Things like the entry on Cannibalism, and 'A Gentleman's Guide to home-made Adult Entertainment' or whatever it was called.

Hmmm. Sounds worrying. Are you going to post anything on ask h2g2, or in the Feedback bit? If so, mention it on this thread and I'll pop over.

A530687 looks like it's there to me. Any others you think might have gone?

I'm always seeing threads on U295 about it.
