I'm envious of Pierce's New Orleans jazz situation ... Very happy that the Saints will be in the Super Bowl, but I probably won't watch again.
The commercials are tempting, though. A couple years ago I had the honor of flying to New York for a writer's conference (which is in Denver this year! YAY!!!). My flight home coincided with the Super Bowl and the NY Giants were playing ... someone else. I did my homework during the game itself and took breaks for the commercials.
It was quite close at the end and I really wanted NY to win, as they were the underdogs and that's how I roll. Maybe it had something to do with coming home from NYC and being in a plane with a bunch of New Yorkers. Maybe it has to do with Shea.
But they had to cut off the Super Bowl to contact the tower so we could land. It was in the last minutes of the game ... when we landed, our captain announced that NY had won.
YAY!!!

excitement, paul
i'm not a big fan of male handball, but right now our national team is trying to defend its first european championship ever and it is as exciting as one could wish for
the other day we fought norway. they were in the lead all through the game - until the last second, when 'we' got a penalty and won by one goal
tonight we are meeting croatia and both teams have to win in order to reach the semi finals
you can count on me watching it

I played handball in college, and loved it.

Pierre de la Mer ~ sometimes slightly worried but never panicking ~ Posted Jan 31, 2010
i guess
and by the way i and four others lost the drawing between the five of us, who had predicted 5th or 6th place
oh well, it was only something like 200 US-dollars

I can probably speak for FPR when I say that he wants to be wanted for his personality and good looks, not for his tasty chops.
