Harry Potter Winds up on the moon (a dream)
paulh, vaccinated against the Omigod Variant Started conversation May 30, 2007
I had a long dream about Harry Potter the other night .
Yes, I dreamed the plot of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," but my dream version is not likely to resemble the real version in any way. Therefore, there are no spoilers in my dream....
Hogwarts was not castlelike the way it is in the movies. Instead, it was more like a grand country house with everything more or less on one floor, and whitewashed exteriors and boxy rooms and lots of windows to let the light in. But we all knew Voldemort and his archfiends were coming at us one way or another.
As the plot progressed, Voldemort revealed that he had a female sidekick, a sort of ice queen who had the job of seizing control of the moon, while Voldemort busied himself with the Earth. This was, of course, the weak point in his plan. The ice queen arrived on the moon to find that Harry and his valiant band could not be dislodged. There was a magnificent bridge across some sort of river, and the far side of the bridge was being held up by the castle that Harry's forces were supposed to be hiding in. The ice queen came roaring across the bridge with her forces. The castle was no match for her guns and cannons. She triumphantly watched the castle fall, not understanding that once the castle was gone, there was nothing to hold up the bridge. The bridge crashed down into the abyss, destroying the ice queen and all her minions . Naturally, Harry and his forces were no longer in the castle. They were already halfway back to earth.
The only question for Harry and his allies was which of them would impersonate the ice queen, so as to get close to Voldemort and then strike him when he was most vulnerable?
It's unsettling that, at the end of my dream, there is no sign of Harry at all .

Pft. I already figured out the end of the series.
Harry goes back in time to WWI, joins the British army, gets killed in battle in the Middle East and is buried in the British War Cemetery in Ramla:

Sorry, my mistake, it's WWII - the British War Cemetery here in Jerusalem is from WWI, so I got confused and thought the Ramla one was as well.
Anyway, in case you haven't heard of this grave before, it's real. The picture is not a hoax. Harry Potter just happens to be a common enough name.

There was a Harry Potter in the town I grew up in.
He was the guidance counselor at the high school.
He also directed plays. I don't think anyone ever saw him riding a broom, though

I donb't think Harry Potter has a secret identity.
Anyway, I'm just as curious as anyone else to see how the series wraps up.

That is not a well-kept secret, Pierce.
There are other things that aren't secrets:
--anything on the cover of "National Enquirer is not a secret.
--As Orson Welles observed, gluttony is not a secret vice.
--Clark Kent's real identity (i.e. Superman) is known by *all*
the people at the "Daily Planet" at the rend of every day. Then overnight, they all forget it and have to relearn it the next day...
