I came to the conclusion ages ago hereThat as long as Hootoo exists SOMEONE (or more) might read some of my threads ?
Therefore! I have threads where my friends have also contributed to! Means that those threads could "exist" for many years on the "net"

So in some way ? I might actually leave a legacy as such ? as to the "works" of others as well as myself

None of us really knows who is reading our stuff.

Except that anything that's in the Post gets promoted on Social media. And who knows about the edited guide articles?

I've started writing some guide articles on subjects that may be popular on the Net, starting with Coneflowers a.k.a. Echinacea.

Black-eyed Susans may be the next topic. Then spruces. Problem: I'd like to write about things I have experience with. That means dwarf Alberta spruces. I don't know if what I have to say will make my entry stand out.

I don't care "who" reads about me

When anyone says - while they're talking about me, they are not talking about anyone else

I say! it's WHEN they stop talking about me, I worry as in, if I'm talked about = I'm being noticed

As I say to folk one of my philosophies is:- treat all insults as compliments! That way you get more

You have a point. Insults can be constructive. You can learn something from them, even if it's just that you should avoid the people who fling them at you. Or, you might need to learn to take them with a thicker skin.

I reply - your getting personal, your calling little...
They expect the B being the insultso they have no retort back.

The "B" word is overused. It means nothing. It means less than it did 500 years ago, when being married meant something. On the other hand, there's a fairly constant 10% of babies whose fathers are not the men whom the mothers identify.

Does it matter? Someone gave life to you, me, and countless billions more. Julie Andrews learned that the man she thought was her father really wasn't. I am grateful to both her real father and her assumed father, for making it possible for her to become the person she became.

II am too much like my father to doubt that he is who my mother says he is. Also, I look at picture of myself and my brother at six years of age, and we are hard to tell apart. Likewise me and my sister. Yep, we have the parents we thought we had.

I saw a prog' on tv last year and it was saying etc, about how "wording/insults etc" had changed over the years.
Old ones go and new ones begin etc, but at the end of the day - it's people/society that still have horse blinkers onand can't/wont accept that people have their own lives and unable to live alongside them

So....the trouble with the world is people? I already knew that.

In a way, it isn't necessarily a bad thing that we have to stay six feet apart. Of course, there are some people I'd rather be much farther away from.

I say to folk! I've got the perfect answer to keeping 6ft apart with corona etcI've stopped showering! In a short while "they'll" keep away from me

I arranged for a neighbor to shovel me out. Then he got called away by his work, and I did my own shoveling.

I have some sore muscles, but they haven't killed me yet.

shovelling the amount of snow you getis hard work.

My advice is to get plenty of salt in stock, for pathways/drives etc.

"we've never had (round here) snowfalls in the amounts that you have, but if there's an easier way of shifting it I'll take it (not that I've seen any for bloody years)

It's light so far, but the bulk of it will fall overnight.

It's almost forty degrees, and there's a mix of snow and rain. Someone is going around with a snowblower.

I had a fairly nice day. It was forty degrees, with mild humidity in the air. We got maybe five inches of snow, and rather a lot of rain.
