Feel free to experiment with the recipes, Lady Scott. After all, that's what I did. Apple juice, apple sauce, and orange juice are all much lower in glycemic response than sugar, though. Bananas and raisins are kind of high, but I don't really go into them all that heavily. Apricots are fairly safe, though they have a bit of fat in them.

Even if my recipes accomplish nothing else, at least they don't contain any empty calories. Everything in them makes some kind of nutritional contribution, while tasting good and making me feel good. smiley - smiley Yes, I really do feel good after eating these things.

Lady Scott

I'm sure you do - they look very good, and good for you.

I'm not all that concerned about the amount of naturally occuring sugar in them (for myself), but more about how sweet they would taste to me. Since I"ve been off sweets of all kinds for so long, even fruit sweetened things tend to taste too sweet to me. Even raw carrots and mashed potatoes tend to taste sweet to me these days.

smiley - erm My taste buds are *seriously* messed up.
