Hi, Kasia.
Thanks for the kind invitation.
There are quite a few things that I can't
figure out at this site. I can spend hours
reading through thousands of posts at some
of the weirder threads (the one about Rat-Ants
is a doozy 
), and still not know what
people are talking about.
So, if I'm not socializing, sometimes it just
means I really don't know which end is up.
What is the Cross-Purposes Pub? Is it a facsimile
of a real pub that people are familiar with?
Are people supposed to be at cross purposes
when they visit it?
I haven't been in many pubs, bars, saloons, etc.
I love piano bars, though, of which San Francisco
has quite a few. In a previous life, I was probably
the pianist in a Western saloon, later switching
to ragtime when it became popular. I write ragtime
pieces occasionally.... Piano music has a nice
cooling effect on a hot summer day. Or night.
