Sorry, I can't do the little hovering 2
Hi there. I'm Al and I'm a Guardian Angel - one of a group of Researchers who lend a hand in an unofficial capacity.

all right! Thx for the links, I'll most probably need 'em...
... but not right now, I'm supposed to be working...
It's mostly the GuideML where I expect some problems : I don't know *anything* about HTML, XML or whatever webdesigner's tool exists... But I guess I can learn, if only I find the time!
It would be interesting to be able to put pictures on my page, but I don't really mean the drawings which are in the library. I was thinking about other pictures, things I find here and there. Maybe if I learn about GuideML, I'll find a way!
About the hovering ², maybe I should put a ³! Just because, the way you say it 'honey-squared' sounds so... euhm.... well, square, you know? Maybe 'honey-triple' would be better, not in the least because of the Belgian Beers (a 'triple' is a kind of heavy beer)!

thanks... But in the beginning it was indeed Honey²! It was only as I saw it written down ("Honey-squared") that I went 'yuk! sounds so square'. You see?
how about your nickname, chairman Mei?

Hey Honeycube
Welcome to H2G2 then. I think you´ve written some interesting stuff already, so nice having you here.
I can see you´re a physics student, got any good advise for someone hoping to go the same route? Like does dumping low level math mean it is a bad idea?

Me and my D&Ms (Deep & Meaningful thoughts-sic) and the fact that I can't stop meiself from opening mei gob and falling in (especially when deliberating the German condition) led me to pun my REAL name (Mei-a welsh short form of the whole) with Mr Mao and his thoughts. Damn! Students have arrived... they have no sense of timing! Imagine a Brit student being punctual... 'snot natral! CU l8er

Hey, Xanatic!
You're thinking about studying physics? That's cool!
You know, giving good advise on that matter is quite difficult since it's very personal. I had, for example, a BIG hole in math-knowledge when I started, which gave me quite some trouble in the beginning. So my main advise would be : don't give up on the mathematics, because you will nééd it! OK, I know, it's the really boring part... But you can't escape it, I'm afraid...
Another thing is : the physics education in Belgium is probably totally different from where you live (where DO you live?)... But one advise that also stands is : you have to know for sure if you wanna start it... It's not the kind of choice you make out of the blue... I have wondered every year (for six years!) why I was punishing myself like that! Not a joke, really... But, and I know this will sound very arrogant and I don't intend it that way, only it's the reason why I chose to start studying physics : if you can do this, it can make you feel like you've conquered the world! Yeah, I'm exaggerating, but all in all : physics gives you a glimps on the Basic Structure of Reality and although sometimes it still drives me utterly nuts to discover you have to read half a library just to know a little bit about a subject, I'm still happy for that...
I hope this didn't sound pompous or arrogant!..
anyway, if you choose to go for it : go for it in full! And good luck!
