Vp You're absolutely entitled to feel black and soul-less, and here is as good a place to express that as anywhere. I've bought dusty bin 9 from the Green Room as I've found another use for it. You can sit in it (sin bin?) and contemplate life, the universe and everything until you feel you've got it all sussed, or that it's all meaningless anyway. Here's a "Do Not Disturb" sign for when you need to contemplate and sit in the bin in quiet.

Dear vp
You are still special, the you shown to h2g2 and the hidden sub-conscious you. Here is a for the hidden sub-conscious you too. Perhaps he needs it.

I must be the only person on h2g2 to have their own personal sin bin in my fan club , aint I the lucky one.

Just to let you know, I still deserve and need the sin bin, but things are much better now, and I am going to see Ana very soon, and then things will be better.

*Cuts window in sin bin so that he can see out of it and be grateful to the wonderful people who come and visit him.*

*curses, climbs out sin pices of shredded material which are no longer air tight*

*Uses bunsen burner to melt arounds the window, creating a seal to make sin bin inflatable again*

*puffs air into sin bin*

*places shutter on window, so that anyone who comes to my sin bin who thinks I deserve not to see, or who merely wants to remain annonymous, can close it if and when they want to.*

*leaves shutter open for now*

*Climbs back into sinbin, but with a wee smile on his face thinknig about cutandrepairsinbin/subconcious analogy*

I hope at some point in the next few weeks to take myself out of the sin bin, but I will need Ana's help on that one of course, but in the meantime, I am very grateful to have such a well visited sin bin to think within, and indeed share thoughts and <>s from.

I like what you've done with the sin bin, it's very homely. Almost not a sin bin at all now. I looks like a calm place to think in and receive the occasional visitor.

I hope the month with Ana goes well.

Oh I hope it goes well too - after all, if it is going to go badly, it will go badly at the start when we first try and sort things out, and then we will have a month or so of her not liking me at all at all, and she doesnt deserve much more hurt to be honest, not having deserved any in first place.

Maybe the sin bin is too comfy...did you ever read Matilda? Maybe I should line the sides and floor with sharp objects so that it is more like a torture to be here - oh and read my new journal entry

I think the sin bin is just fine. There is only so much punishment you can put yourself through, it doesn't achieve anything after all. It's far better to wallow in self-loathing for a day or to and then do something positive about the situation. If you're too wrapped up in yourself and feelings of guilt when you visit Ana you won't be able to sort things out with her. The best thing you can do for Ana is try and sort yourself out a bit before you go (tall order as there's not much time left, but you can make a start). Then continue sorting youself out when you get back. You are right in a way, it is very difficult to have any sort of relationship with people when you have unresolved personal issues. It sounds corny but it's true, you have got to learn to like/love yourself and that means all parts of yourself, even the bits you'd rather not acknowledge.
