I'm in a mess
Posted Nov 5, 2006
I am panicking.
Tasha went out this morning at 10. She's not come home. It is dark now and as it is Guy Fawkes night I am seriously worried. She does not do this. She is a home cat. She goes out to wee etc but always comes back in.
I have all sorts of horrible thoughts running around my head right now. Some are ridiculous.
I broke down in tears about half an hour ago. If she is still alive she must be so frightened now. There are fireworks going off everywhere.
Please come home baby girl.

Very sad day.
Posted Apr 15, 2006
At about 10:30 this morning, Saturday 15th April 2006, we lost Charlie to cancer. He was so weak and had lost so much weight in the two weeks we were away. I can't write too much more on the subject right now - it's all too raw.
He did not suffer. He went to sleep.
I love you baby. RIP

One week to go!
Posted Mar 25, 2006
Oh my!
One week to go! I will be married in one week!
I think it is really beginning to sink in! It is really happening!
We leave for Las Vegas in 5 days time and I am so looking forward to my holiday. I haven't had a proper holiday (not counting going up to Scotland for a long weekend) for 5 years now. I really need this break.
B is getting quite excited about the wedding now - he has even printed out the forms we need to fill in for the marriage license! He has worked out how far from the court house the chapel is and has even picked out some music!! Together we decided that the Proclaimers 500 Miles was a good choice - great lyrics and Scottish to boot!
We still haven't decided what to wear on the day. We are going shopping the day before so might see something appropriate then.

He knows...

We were having a huge row about the party we have planned for when we get back. He has always known about that, only he thought it was just a joint birthday party.
The argument began over the fact that I have organised the whole thing and then just told him what we were going to do - plainly not true as I have involved him in every decision along the way. True I have designed the invites, arranged the function hall, booked the entertainment (we are having a casino) etc - but I have never organised anything without getting his opinion first.
We then got onto the subject of money.
Who was paying for this lot. Well - that would be my folks but he didn't know that.
We had more words and it turns out that he doesn't appreciate the way I organise things and almost expect him to go along with it.
Oooops.
Eventually I felt I just had to tell him that I had organised something else and I needed to know whether I had done the right thing. It was like 20 questions getting it out of me but eventually he said the 'marriage' word. He thought that I had only organised to ask him whilst we were in Vegas. I had to tell him that everything was booked and arranged already.
I asked if I had made a big mistake and he said no. I asked him if he wanted to get married and he said yes.
Oh my god.
He said yes.
I am getting married on April 1st - 3 weeks and 5 days!
Oh - I sprung one last surprise on him. I went upstairs and came back down with the wedding rings I bought last week!
Lucky I did - his is too big so I'll have to get it changed.
Crikey. It's all so real! No wonder I am beginning to have anxiety attacks! I got vertigo on Saturday - bought on by stress. Hopefully now he knows it won't be so bad.
Phew.
