One week to go!

Oh my!
One week to go! I will be married in one week!
I think it is really beginning to sink in! It is really happening!
We leave for Las Vegas in 5 days time and I am so looking forward to my holiday. I haven't had a proper holiday (not counting going up to Scotland for a long weekend) for 5 years now. I really need this break.
B is getting quite excited about the wedding now - he has even printed out the forms we need to fill in for the marriage license! He has worked out how far from the court house the chapel is and has even picked out some music!! Together we decided that the Proclaimers 500 Miles was a good choice - great lyrics and Scottish to boot!
We still haven't decided what to wear on the day. We are going shopping the day before so might see something appropriate then.

I wish you both all the happiness in the world.
I am sure that all will go well on the day.
Try not to panic to much and enjoy the day.

Blimey...the nerves are kicking in a bit now. I have been waking up at about 5.30 every morning with things spinning around in my head!
Stupid things - not even to do with the wedding! For instance - we are staying with friends in California who are ex-pats. We are taking supplies with us - Cadbury's Dairy Milk, Hob-nobs and PG tips tea bags.
The teabags are in a limited edition Wallace and Gromit tea caddy and I was worrying about the fact that we will have an unidentified square metal tin our luggage!!
Also - will I have enough pairs of knickers and if I have to do a wash what detergent do our friends use! Will it irritate my sensitive skin!
And...what to wear for flying over there. It will be hot (well, hotter than here) and I have no summer clothes yet - we plan on a big shopping trip ASAP. I have nothing to wear!
ommmmmmmm
I have to stay calm.
As for the wedding itself - it will be a relief as it is mostly already planned and sorted. All we have to do is turn up. Even the table for our wedding supper at Alan Albert's Steakhouse is all booked.
One last thing to mention is the fact that B has insisted that I ride on the Big Shot on the top of the Stratosphere tower as a condition of saying yes to marrying me!!
If you don't know what that is have a look here: http://www.joyrides.com/las_vegas/big_shot1.htm (it's the pointy bit right at the very top - click through the first few pics for close ups)
aaaaaargh!

Is there a webcam at your vegas chapel?
You will be fine, it will be a wonderful holiday and a magical wedding
So excited for you!

How exciting!
Re: the webcam - check it out, Lady. Friends of mine were married by 'Elvis' in Vegas last year and they were able to hook up a live link webcam so friends overseas could 'be there' with them for the ceremony.
I don't think it would be normal if you weren't feeling all nervous and jittery, but I'm sure when the day comes you will be feeling fabulous .

Thank you ladies!
I am pretty sure there isn't a web cam at our chapel (Wee Kirk O' the Heather) otherwise they would have made quite a big thing of it on their website.
I'll email them anyway and find out.
Would you all watch?

Just had a poke around the website - no webcam links so I guess not.
