I believe the stock answer to this (and to any other biblical inconsistency) is that it presents no problem to those who are genuinely saved, and it is a sign of our sinfulness tht we rely on "mere intellect" to challenge the inerrancy of scripture.

He'll be back, I'll bet he won't be able to resist flaunting his moral superiority over us again
I hope he comes back, it's fun arguing with him.

Sooner or later he would have had to spill the beans on whether the Vardy Foundation is a profit centre.
Of course he's gone.
I'm still here, but I've got a canoe and a paddle.
With GSD gone, the "cess" should be already draining away.
The wean.

"The one where god created the earth and created Adam and Eve TOGETHER
or
The one where god created life on earth (which already existed), and created Adam out of clay and Eve out of his rib LATER"
Well, one version of the myth is that the woman created on the sixth day was not Eve but Lilith, and she was Adam's first wife.

I don't know much about the Bible, but I do know that it's full of glaring mistakes that people like Sam just ignore, and it strikes me as hilarious that they assume to *know* the truth, just because they do! What makes Sammie so special?

I wouldn't call it fun, more like beating your head against a brick wall. Like Justin, Sam does not debate, he simply spouts gospel and other hate-filled cr@p about the 'unsaved'.
I'm not surprised that Justin got banned (once again). I guess people find him 'good sport' but it's rather like shooting fish in a barrel.
We all know that neither Justin or Sam are going to budge even a centimetre in terms of what they believe to be true.
Most of the 'debating' I've seen on Sam's threads here are mostly about taking pot-shots and otherwise insulting the guy.
Previously, when Justin was on hootoo, *some* debate happened and most people did try not to simply call him an idiot - they tried to make their very well-thought-out points against all that he stood for.
The point being that they weren't trying to change Justin or his opinions, but in the case that maybe some others were reading the threads, they tried to make it as coherent as they could as to why what Justin was posting basically made no sense.

Yep, I've taken more than my fair share of pot-shots at Sam
There really is no point trying to have an intelligent conversation with him, though. If he thinks I'm going to Hell, I have no problem in making him think that I'm *definitely* going to hell. Bad habit, trying to antagonise the super-religious, I just can't stand preachers.

They can't both be right, you just need to choose if either or neither is correct; the original book of genesis was written by Moses and the high priests at the foot of Mt. Sinai, in the southern tip of the Sinai peninsula, after the exodus from Egypt. The later version, most likely King James, was re-written to satisfy the needs of the current people in power: it had nothing to do with truth.
Someplace on the 'net is a site that lists all the 'facts' that are reversed, changed or contradicted between the OT and NT-very interesting, ad I'm sorry I can't post the link.

Some places where others have found problems withthe bible, for your study or amusement:
These seem to focus on errata found within the NT-

I assume you mean King Josiah?
It was he whose people "found" the Torah in a disused part of the temple, just when it was politcally expedient for him.
yeah, right.

No it wasn't. Moses was long dead by the time Genesis was written (if he existed at all).

Actually, Mr. Leonard Cohen wrote the Bible.

I bet they cut all the dirty bits out of this version . . .
"The 100-Minute Bible, written as a page-turner for those who do not have the time to read the full version, was unveiled at Canterbury Cathedral."

Reader's Digest did one a number of years ago as well.
I don't know about anyone else, but after a number of times through the whole thing in various translations, etc., I still am of the opinion that the Song of Songs is the only part that shows the least bit of inspiration. The rest is just nastiness.
