I've actually fallen out of the whole "anime" niche, as it were... Although my most recent love is Mahou Sensei Negima, which came out around 2005/6, I think?
It's hilarious as a dub and the only way I watch it!

It's about a ten-year old Welsh wizard-in-training who, to graduate from school and become a fully-fledged Magister, has to go to Japan to teach in an all-girls middle school. It's pretty funny, but can also be serious and emotional.

Pretty much the case! I think they probably have episodes up on YouTube.

I know what you mean - it can be difficult to think things up, but we've been going for an impressive period of time with just the two of us - I'm sure we'll think of something.
OH! I know!
What do you think about the fact that Nintendo are remaking Gold and Silver for the DS?
Anime
Infinite Improbability Posted May 17, 2009
I didn't know, I had to look it up. HeartGold and SoulSilver are okay names, I guess.
Anime
Katzii Posted May 19, 2009
Yeah, the names are a bit weird, but I'm personally excited to be able to play them again without my data corrupting every time!
Anime
Infinite Improbability Posted Jun 12, 2009
Yeah, that was weird. Did flash memory not exist back then?
Anime
Katzii Posted Jun 13, 2009
That's correct - the Game Boy games ran off of battery memory, but because the Gold and Silver games ran an internal clock 24/7, it drained it a lot more than the first generation games.

In rewatching the second Cardcaptors dub, I was surprised at how much of the new dub cast are Digimon alumni. Not that I wouldn't have preferred the original dub cast, but at least we still got some quality voice acting. However, hearing Izzy speaking for Li is still a little weird.

Katzii Posted Jul 7, 2009
I didn't know they had more than one dub! Were they different series, or different dubs for the same series?
Anime
Infinite Improbability Posted Jul 14, 2009
Nah, it was just a different cast for the second movie. It was years after the original dub was over, and it was a different studio. As for why they couldn't track down the original cast, probably contract issues and, as we say on TV Tropes, "they just didn't care."
In addition the second movie uses the original names for everybody. No Reedington or Sakura Avalon here.

Katzii Posted Jul 17, 2009
It's nice that they at least used the original names for it, but personally I hate when a company changes voices... At least for the most part, anyway!

Sorry for the delay!
I've only actually seen one episode of Love Hina, in raw Japanese, on an aeroplane. So I would prefer to classify that as "no". I believe that Love Hina and Negima are created by the same person, though!

Infinite Improbability Posted Oct 10, 2009
Well, I've never seen Negima, so we're even.
It's been awhile since I heard anyone call them "aeroplanes." Hehe.
I keep trying to get into Tsubasa Chronicle, since I liked Cardcaptor Sakura so much, but it's dense stuff. You apparently need to be reading it concurrently with another manga, which gets annoying.

I think I found you on SheezyArt. "Resident Mango?" "Leanne Coote?" Even though you changed to Katzii Yataki I still think of you as MizunoSailorMercury for some reason.
Anime
Katzii Posted Nov 9, 2009
That you did - I'm also "MizunoSailorMercury" on DeviantART, which I update a lot more frequently than my pretty untouched SheezyART.
But you're right - although I did change my handle to my more original alias, a lot of people still think of me as MizunoSailorMercury (especially those who originally knew me as that), so it's not a problem!
