Well, it wasn't my worst first date ever, but it wasn't spectacular either. We went out to dinner and then walked around a mall and talked. Exciting, huh?

Well, still... I bet it was nice to get out, huh?
Plus I always think it's cool to just be able to talk and not have to worry about doing a million billion exciting things.

Actually, there were plenty of exciting things to do, they just seemed absurdly expensive. Shelling out three bucks per person to go on a Ferris wheel is hardly a priority for me.
Anime
Katzii Posted Dec 18, 2008
Wow... That really is very expensive just for one ride! Still, I think it's nice to just enjoy each other's company.

Well, could be just me...
Talking about Pokémon again, did you hear about the VA for Meowth dying not so long ago? It was pretty sad to hear that someone who did a voice for a character in a show I was pretty into has passed away.

Which voice actor? Japanese, old English, or new English?
Anime
Katzii Posted Jan 13, 2009
There were actually two old English VAs, apparently - it was the second one who voiced Meowth from about episode 50 something, until the voice changes. Either way, it's very sad to hear, although I have watched enough Diamond and Pearl to become a little more accustomed to the new style of voices, mottos, and everything!

I think I've pretty much gotten used to the newer voices now, so as I think I said, it's not as big a shock.
To be honest, I think that Pokémon Diamond is finally getting the series back on form. Shame about all these new Pokémon though; I miss the simple days of the first two generations.

To me it's not the Pokemon themselves, after all, that's what the Pokerap is for. It's all these fancy new attacks. What type they are, which are immediate and which are delayed, which alter the environment, which are useless against certain other Pokemon, and so on.

Yeah, definitely. On top of which in the games, they have all of these "natures", and there's certain ways of training them to get them to have better stats, et cetera. Iron, Carbos, Protein and Zinc did the job for me!
Also, I'm not dead, either. I was actually on holiday for a couple of weeks, and then I had a hectic month beforehand! I will try and check back more often, though.

I still intend to play Emerald, but that'll probably be it for Pokemon games. It's getting too complicated.

Katzii Posted Mar 30, 2009
Yeah, it definitely is. I'm enjoying Platinum, but I miss the charm and simplicity of the first two generations.

I'd seriously recommend you picking either or both up - they're certainly upgraded from the originals, but it's still the thrill of going through the original regions, and being able to pick up original Pokémon.

Well, since I now have two GBAs (long story), I may have to do both Emerald and LeafGreen or FireRed.

Haha, I managed to end up with a GBA and a GBA SP... As well as three Game Boy Colours!
But I do seriously recommend one of the latter games. They really do take you back.

Yeah. So have you watched any of the more recent animes? As a Cardcaptor Sakura fan I'm trying to get into Tsubasa Chronicle, but it's uphill work.
