I will think of you looking like
What a week, I'm knackered!
My nasty cold came back, works been really busy, then I had a two day row with the bank over £1k - which I have finally won because I was in the right (as ever!).
Hope you have had a better week than me... I am just counting the minutes (all 41 of them) until I can go home and thaw out after a day of aggressive air conditioning!

Good one with the bank, they can take the p*ss sometimes and its nice to know that they are wrong
I did sod all really last week, twas too hot for me, i dont do heat with no breeze, even with the fans going it was too sticky and humid
Have a good weekend

Muddling Through Posted Jul 31, 2006
Hope you are happier now it's not so hot; I am typically English... moan when it's too cold, moan when it's too hot!
How was your weekend? Mine was very relaxed. He went out and I stumbled across a secret beer stash and drank it!!!

Marmite Posted Jul 31, 2006
So you got drunk instead then
Was a quiet weekend here, did sod all really, loafed around did some gardening, well garden tidying really.
Walked around Windsor and along the river to one of the locks and watched the boats drift pass

It was only 4 cans and I had enough trouble drinking them over a 6 hour period - officailly an alcohol lightweight and proud of it!!!
Sounds like a peaceful weekend - I often go to the river (Nene) and watch the boats at the lock - it is one of the place I go to get away by myself but unfortunately I have to drive to get there.
What sort of gardening do you do? Do you grow your own veg or ? I am eating lots of carrots and spuds as they are the only thing that has been really successful in our garden so far!
Any Advice?!
Marmite Posted Aug 2, 2006
My garden is mainly full of conifers of all different shapes, sizes and shades, grow some flowers but nothing exciting, and dont grow any veg, although i have thought about it but never really put my mind to it yet
I love raw carrots and chomp on them a lot, thing is though i am getting fluffy ears and noticed that i am hopping a lot recently

I just asked him to go for a blood test and he told me to F-off and stop trying to run his life!
Any Advice?!
Marmite Posted Aug 5, 2006
seems like he dosent give a sh*t about anything then, apart from himself, i cant see much else that you can do really, you have tried and now it is down to him.
Any Advice?!
Muddling Through Posted Aug 8, 2006
Instead of sulking with me all weekend he was alright a few hours later which is very unlike him - His way of saying he was wrong maybe?
Yesterday (after staying alcohol free until 9pm ) he declared his intention to give up drinking and smoking and start training again (used to do Karate) ... I am not getting too excited as he has promised he will quit before but I so hope he really means it this time. The best thing is this is a statement made after two days considering what I said and not something said in the heat of the moment just to get me off his back!
How are things with you? What's currently happening in your world?

Marmite Posted Aug 9, 2006
well fingers crossed that it does happen, i hope for both of you that it does, and good for him if he does it.
We go away on friday for a week, down to Weymouth, to stay at my friends caravan, its a big bugger on the coast, it was a last minute thing, he phoned me about 11am today and said do we want it for the week, so here we go

Glad you had a fab holiday - how was the weather? When I was a kid my dad and I had a tradition of always going in the sea no matter how cold it was!!
I need a holiday - Bit stressed with lack of support at work and a lot disappointed that hubby was spouting nonsense again - 'giving up' consists of 8 cans a night followed by just a couple of shots of whiskey!
Any Advice?!
Marmite Posted Aug 23, 2006
Weather was good, some overcast days and the rest were sunny, but at least no rain
Ahhh , thats a shame about your hubby drinking again, i thought he was gonna change
Why are work giving you lack of support then
Any Advice?!

It's Beer Festival week this week so I am now wondering if Hubby might have been waiting for the fest to be over before giving up - fingers crossed - I went with him last night and he limited himself to 4 lower gravity pints which was amazing for 4 hours drinking time! There was an excellent band on - covers of Hendrix, Led Zep, that sort of stuff.
At work we are still on redundancy notice but are being treated as though we are already gone! A department of about 30 and 4 of us are going - I do so hate being ignored!
Any plans for the bank holiday weekend?

Beer fest, ahh they were the days
Well good for him to cut back then, plus a rock band as well
Ignore the other 26 then and party with the 3 that are going with you
Bank Holiday, not up too much really, visiting parents, dossing around the house, cant do a great deal as our dog had an operation on thursday to remove a lump from its side and also a gross looking tag from his belly, it was kinda huge it looked like a testicle
Any Advice?!
Muddling Through Posted Aug 29, 2006
He went to the fest again on Saturday but I stayed home. I was V.surprised that he was capable of speaking without slurring and he could still stand up! This was despite the fact that his friend aparently suggested he drink as much as he could as quick as he could because I was not there breathing down his neck - I thought that quite a telling statement!
A third testicle eh? Hope your dog is OK now... what's his name? Do you name your pets interesting things? I used to have a couple of rabbits call Pie Filling and Barbeque!!!
I seem to be having issues with anger management today - aaaaarrrrrrrgggggghhhhhh why are people so stupid and why do I have to keep talking to the most stupid ones!!! 5 weeks and counting!!!
Any Advice?!
Marmite Posted Aug 29, 2006
as uncontrollable woman has a mental attack
Coast seems clear
I like your rabbits names, kinda make me feel hungry
All our pets have names to do with Newcastle FC, dog is called Shearer, cat is called Beardsley, the chinchillas are called Mil and Burn (after Jackie Milburn, famous toon footballer)
Gerbils have some names that the kids call them, but they all look the same to me so i have no idea who is who.
The fish, i just call them all fish, they dont seem to mind

Today I am calm and chilled so no need to for the hills. I am too tired to be annoyed and it is all washing over me...lalala
We have fish called Fish, Fish, Fish, Fish, Little Fish, Little Little Fish and Dizzy Fish!
Any Advice?!
Marmite Posted Aug 30, 2006
Calm is good, non-calm is bad, but you are calm and that is good
Oooooh, you have lots of fish
Are yours indoor or outdoor
