Do you have any plans for 2007 or any resolutions, or will it just be the same year all over again, damn that sounds depressing

Hi there,
No I haven't made any new years resolutions, but I know what you mean at the start of year but it's still the same old, same old. I haven't really made any plans either as yet. I guess I should make a resolution to enjoy myself more then lol!
I haven't been on for a while my son has just gone back to school now it feels like he's been off ages

Maybe not for you, but it was lovely here when my boys went back, all peaceful and quiet
But on saying that, they went back last wednesday, friday they had dentist, monday this week the youngest was off ill and yesterday it was academic review so they both went in for about 30 minutes

My son just got a certificate for 100% attendance, although he always seems to be ill on school holidays unfortunately for him lol.
We have a parents evening next week so it will be interesting to see how he has settled in to his new school, he seems to really like it though and his teachers seem quite happy with him so far. The school seems much better than his old one that we moved him from.

Yep they said my son is doing really well , the teachers all love him she said lol. He got all good effort grades, I think he is really enjoying school and I guess that is part of it. We also spoke to the head of year who said he's doing well too, he's a long way off doing GCSE's and stuff though so lets just hope he keeps it up and he might end up with some good grades,
<chuffed for him.
It was quite funny coz while we were on our way home my son said I guess I get my brains from you mum dunno if hubby was impressed lol

Well I might get him a treat if his end of year report is good, it's only a mid term one though I'm proud of him so if he does keep it up he'll be getting a treat.
How's the weather been where you are, it's been really bad the winds here the other day they had to close off town coz of flying debris! It's a bit better today but still windy and we've been getting lots of hail as well. <wonder if it will snow it feels cold enough

Marmite Posted Jan 23, 2007
We had the stong winds last thursday, i think it was the curry.
No Bovil be serious, lots of the neighbours fences fell down and we spent nearly all weekend putting them back up again, all the neighbours helping each other one house at a time, except my fences were untouched as they were only put up about 2 months ago and are excellent quality ones, concrete based feather lap wood, it looked quite weird really, looking out of the back window with 4 houses one side and 4 the other all down and mine still standing
I hope we get as being in the Thames Valley we never seem to get snow at all, we only get sleet and slush

Your fence must be a good one! that's nice of you to help the neighbours out by helping to put theirs back up. Was everyone asking who put yours up? lol.
We didn't get snow but it's really chilly and you can see snow on the mountains. Hubbys dad got snow in Manchester.

Wondered where you had got to, we've had broad band for a while, it's good coz it frees up the phone line and it's quicker

Me and the hubby are having a weekend away on the 24th Feb at Ambelside so I'm looking forward to that and my mum is gonna have my son for that weekend.
