It's a little harsh to imply that most posties were/are mostly thieves
It's simply not the case. Unfortunately the few that do are damaging the reputation of the thousands of people who work hard in the royal mail to get your post through from point a to point b for a single price, regardless where you're posting it from and to in the UK...
... Dont help the govt. destroy another public service. Improvements are fine and great but it'll no more work as a private business than the NHS will. And dont let a few crooked folk (and come on, there's crooks everywhere!) destroy a whole service which is mostly reliable in most areas.
If you've got a problem, complain to the royal mail. Do it online and they WILL deal with it because it goes through their complaints process which bypasses the manager of your local office to a degree. He gets pressure from above, he cant just shrug it off.

I will do, if I need too, at the moment the parcels arn't quite* overdue... Its still I think within the X to X days from postage... and just had a couple of Emails informing me my more* recent stuff has now been sent also
*counts*
1, 2, 3, 4... that is four parcels currently waiting on with the ones dispatched today, though one of those may actually be in three or two seperate packages and one more thing still waiting to be dispatched

Quite, Robyn - privatisation hasn't done a great deal for trains, for instance. Privatising Royal Mail wouldn't offer any improvement if it's considered unprofitable to deliver in your area.
I'm waiting for a parcel too - although in this case the sender's at fault.

In the meantime why don't you go glazing a few carrots
The price of stamps just went up 45 percent here in DK. Yup, you guessed right. Royal Danish Mail has been privatized

You should never throw root veggies out! Boil 'em up & freeze 'em for soup at a later date. Floppy carrots make great stock for tomato soup. The green shoots growing from old onions can substitute for chives. The only exception is taties, I've not found a use for sprouted ones yet

Glad you got some of the stuff - I cancelled mine today when I found out they hadn't even sent it off yet after many weeks. I've a sneaking suspicion they take the phrase "snail-mail" literally.

Problem is I buy a pack, in order to use a few* in a casserole/stew, and then about two months later I find them in the bottom of the fridge, intimidating the potatos, and making rude suggestions towards my mushrooms, and then I have to get the industrial vegetable-evolved lifeform spray out...

Well... Day one/round one of the 'food porn' research
Today mainly eliminated some food sorts as good types to use err 'in the bedroom'.
Bacon.
Sausages.
Prawns and tomatos were all in the fail catogry....
Sausages were, however, quite effective at inducing hysterical laughter.... Weather or not you think hysterical laughter is a good thing to occur during.... sex, of course, is another matter
I don't need to eat any lunch today... I won't elaborate any further
More research tonight and later in the week... the things I have to do for 'the good of the guide'

Anyone got any ideas on other food sorts I could try using? ...
I'm still trying to think of an inventive way of using alcohol, maybe beer... but all the thoughts I've had so far involve making far* too much a mess of the sheets/bed hmmm.... I think cucumber may have to be on the list for tonight... the tomatos were such an epic fail, maybe cucumber will work better... I mean, it kinda feels nice when you put it on your closed eyes... kinda soothing and ... hmmm...celery maybe?
