i got told today, that virginmedia, will be sending a new, uptodate smart card for the digibox, and a book to install it. but when with the postal fiasco, is another story.

have a good weeks hols, i need the lotto at the weekend for at least two, or im on the skids for another week till next saturday, and its my 62 b/day on the 30th lol. jim xx

Happy belated birthday! I hope you had a good day.

I went with my hubby and son to Hooton park in Cheshire at the weekend, they were testing their kart, unfortunately my hubby slipped getting in it and hit his back hard on the engine. He's been to the docs and has a muscle spasm in his back so he's been given really strong pain killers and a week off work. Hopefully it should get better, he's been told to keep still as much as possible as well. He was hoping to race next weekend but it's out of the question now.

Hope you're good I seem to have problems signing into this site again, takes ages to load or doesn't load at all. Other sites have been fine.

it will be good news for you, and bad maybe for me. as the new one means my acsess from home on digi could be no good.

i will only have acsess from the library and cybershop.

im sat here waiting for the tv engineer, my main tv as gone green, and nothing else, im using the combi portable.

its so hard to see, im just writing as i look at the k/board. lol.

hopefully by tonight the tv will be replaced, and at about 2-30pm, i have someone coming to see the recliner chair, im selling

Well I hope the signing in does get better for me, but I hope you don't have problems though when it's changed and I hope you can still access it.

We got cut off the internet a few days ago, we're with aol but they seemed to think we hadn't paid when we had! they took two months off instead of one last month so said we would get a free month, but they for some reason they cancelled the direct debit which we pay buy when they gave us the refund and just cut us off! We spent hours trying to sort it out. We even asked to speak to a supervisor or someone in charge of the accounts to sort it and they kept hanging up on us! Any way they eventually sorted it now but it was really annoying and they weren't very helpful, plus hanging up on us is just not on! And it wasn't even our fault why they switched us off. It is sorted now but they have a really bad customer service, we're in fact thinking of changing now. I've been with them 8 years and if that's how they treat you when you have a problem!

i dont even know if i will be on h2g2 as of tomz, ive been sort of screwed by someone, a year back, and its come back to haunt me.

so i have to wait, and see what the eds do, if im ok, then after xmas or when the new one appears i will have to use the library, and cybershop to use h2g2, the home link will be naff.

for 7+ years ive been taken off, forced off, and wiped off, and got back, but this time, im either out soon, or by xmas on the digi.

i have a feeling the new one, with the restrictions at the library, could be a no go to, so that would leave the cybershop.

some say, get a pc, or laptop.

been there, done that, got the teashirt as they say, never again. lol.

Sorry I took so long getting back to you. I was still having problems signing it, seems ok today though, a few days ago we were also cut off from the internet with the floods happening in Cumbria as well. It didn't flood here but where floods were 36,000 ppl including us couldn't get broadband.

im still here, even when the box wont get me on, i will have the library and cybercafe to fall back on.

im lucky, i live on whats called the bowl, of bradford, so any water will just run down the estate till it comes to a side drain, or main one in the middle of the road.

this waether isnt to good on the bad back, its been aching for a few days now.

i hoping to be heading to london in the next two or three weeks for a long weekend to see friends

i wont be able to stay with them, they have a large family.

as someone said, its a pity i didnt know anyone from the middlsex area, to stay with.

the bus fare is only £26 return, anything from £70 to £100 for three nights, friday to sunday, then monday morning. denise the friend will be checking for a cheap place or b and b.

i wont be doing the whole 6 hrs in one go, i will stopoff at nottigham, about half way for 45 mins, then get the next nat express to arrive in london at around 5pm, same coming back, to arrive home on the monday about 5-30pm.i have a mate that going to open and shut the curtains, and i have a timer for the lights in the hall and livingroom.

I hope you enjoy your trip to London and find somewhere to stay. We went last year to London and we went on the London eye. I really enjoyed it.

I've just been helping my hubby change the engine on the kart. It was supposed to not take long. But it took us four hours! We couldn't get the bolts off the old one they were stuck solid! And also had to change the engine mount over. Anyways we managed to get it done. Theirs still a few other stuff to do on it but my hubby's mate is gonna do that for him. They are testing it this weekend to make sure the new engine is running ok. It's supposed to be snowing though at the weekend, I hope not!

trip to london will be on hold, at the moment, im waiting to hear from the company that did the house refurb.

my frontroom. bedroom, and ceiling in the bedroom as to be fully repainted for the third time. and it could be anytime in the next two weeks or so.

and ive just come back from the docs, my nose is agin badly infamed, with the sinus, so im stuck at home for now, jimbob

my health, nose wise as struck again, ive cream and tabs, but asnt made a dif yet.

on the good side, sort of, my neice is looking to come back to live in the bradford area,

the rainers decease she as, with living near the sea, as reactions to the salty breezes,s.

could be a while yet as they will need to find a house here, and sell the one they live in now.

im sending them the t and a sections of,the houses for sale.

could be ages till mary can sell there place, and get one here.

the tabs are the same as last time, doing nothing really.

we where suposed to have a german market in town,from 21 nov to 21st dec, but they have all but packed up and gone already.

the council have each year messed up, over and over, one year the big tree, had no leaves after two days, one year, a cold one, we had a big wheel in the town center,not many would brave the wind, cold and rain.

I know it can take a while to sell a house and also find one you want as well.

You should go back to the docs if your symptoms don't clear up, maybe there is something else you can take.

We had a europeon market here for a while, I suppose that would be similar to the German market.

That's the council for you lol! I don't think ours is much better with organising things lol!

How are you?

We just got back from a weekend away in Manchester to see my hubby's family before Christmas and give them their presants. We had to set off back early on Sunday coz of the snow, it was pretty bad. On the oppposite side of the motorway travelling in the other direction a lot of cars were even stuck in the snow and trying to dig their way out and some had skidded sideways, trucks were wheel spinning, it was chaos. It took a lot longer to travel back as we had to drive a lot slower coz the snow plough had not been out and the roads were not gritted. And we could even feel the car slippiing and slidding so we were just glad to get home. Funnily enough when we got back here we hadn't had any snow at all lol!

whats manchester like now, i lived there for over a year, about 1967, a small place inbetween, salfod and eccles, called weaste.i worked for bicc cables.

well its getting nearer to me loseing the digi acsess, not sure when, jan or feb. see jerno.

snowed in nearly, had to get a taxi to morrisons, it couldnt get to the house a woman had jack knifed on the corner of my street, so man rang for me to meet at the shop.

buses where off till at least 12 noon. so i decided to leave the last day at the cyber till 29th.

shoping done, only the lotto i can get on saturday morning.

We didn't actually get that much snow here in the end.

Are you still going out on the 30th then?

Are you doing anything to celebrate the new year. I'm not really doing anything for this new year, my hubby is working new years day so he won't be drinking or able to stop up for the new year. So we'll probably be just stopping in.

I just had some sad news today that Wolfden (Will) has passed away he used to post on here, apparantly he passed away in November this year. I'd sent a christmas card too. I did hear from him every now and again and wondered why he hadn't got back to me in a while I only found out from his facebook page so it was quite a shock. I have posted it on his personal space on here as well just in case other ppl didn't know. It is very sad
