No I haven't, ab ... and seeing as how I only have a week and a half left to write it, I don't think I will be!

I read on the introduction of LOTR that the author won't take the time of day for all the interpritations, he didn't mean to write of world war 1 nor 2, and he just made it up as he went along... I believe him.

Yes El, you are correct, Tolkien never intended LOTR to be an alogory for WW1/2 or anything else. He never intended to even publish it at all when he first began to write it, got talked into it by C.S. Lewis I think. did you know that it is the biggest selling work of fiction in the last 100 years! Eddings(who I do read now and then) has only got about another 60 million books to sell and he will have caught up

Sory to say tolken has been taken over..I have the exact amount somewhere but Robbin Hobb knocked him off last year with the farseaer trillagy...that is a brillent set of books although not as good as Tolken...to bad everyone els diddent think so :sigh:
