Washing Up
Lighthousegirl - back on board Posted Feb 2, 2004
I find its easier to do washing up as you go laong coz then its easier to get things clean - once its dried on its much harder work!
He Who's kids make me laugh - they argue lots about doing the washing up - if they spent half the energy doing it as they do arguing it would be done!
My tip for getting glasses clean is to do them first and to rinse them in hot clean water before leaving them to dry
Currently living without her dishwasher

I'm living without my dishwasher too. She's in Newport.

KerrAvon - Oi! I'm not single, yet.
LHG - I distinctly remember doing dishes by hand at your place despite the presence of a dishwashing machine. I wish I could remember why I was doing it
B - I presume that you do the cooking, she does the dishes. A good arrangement if you can plan it

*plans on buying a dishwasher soon as sunny is getting tired of always being the one doing it*

We have a dishwasher - all the apartments in this complex do, but I never use it as anything more than a drying rack.
There's the answer to your probs GD - get a dishwasher for all your glass drying needs
That's gotta be worth at least a century

Gosho, I live in a house. I've left my flat dwelling days long behind me.

And you'll be providing the £40k that I would need to step up to the next size of house in these parts...

Do you have an outbuilding of some sort you could ship your washing machine out to? Then you could plumb in your dishwasher in the kitchen.
And yes. Your summation of our domestic arrangements is correct. This is mostly due to the fact that Odo cannot cook.

I manage thank you very much!
Though I will admit I prefer (and am much better at) baking. anyone?
Starting off with water as hot as you can stand it makes the whole washing up buisness easier.

Shall I just let you two get on with discussing your domestic arrangements and leave you alone then?

No, no, sorry to appear like that.
I was pointed in this direction by a little so thought I ought to have a look.
