Is that the best you can do for a reptillian coctail?
It needs a lot more bite to it!

You should work for The Sun with puns like that my friend.
*looks to an empty glass on the bar, waiting to be filled but reserved for Galigan*
Hopefully itl be for celebrating his victory rather than drowning his sorrows. Anyone else getting their GCSEs today?

*swaggers is with 8 A*s and 2As under his belt and looking more than a little bit smug*

*Cracks out the and sprays it all over the place and all over Galigan, then pulls some pints out and lines them up*
Well...no-one actually LIKES champagne, its just there for effect.
The League Bar
Galigan Posted Aug 25, 2005
yeah.
*takes champagne bottle, covers the end and shakes vigorously before spraying the room with a high velocity jet of champagne fizz*
awww it's empty. pass me a to go with that pint wouldya. I'm feeling in a spirited mood.
I thought the servers were going down so they could fix some faulty hardware in the Towers.
The League Bar
Tony2Times/Prof. Chaos Posted Aug 26, 2005
Nope, apparently the Towers shall stay messed up. So how'd you celebrate your GCSEs then Galigan? Bet you're all pleased and that, what u doing for VI Form?
The League Bar
Galigan Posted Aug 27, 2005
Well I haven't done much on the celebration front yet. Had a large family meal on the day. I am trying to organise something with some of my mates over here, and the day before I go back to school I'm going to the Jersey Live festival so that should be good. I hear Kasabian are booked, as are The Bravery. How did you celebrate?
For 6th form I'm hoping to do English, Maths, Physics and Biology. Are you going to Uni? If so what are you doing?
*sips *
oh, and there's a now server downtime scheduled for the 28th. It's up on the announcements page.
The League Bar
Tony2Times/Prof. Chaos Posted Aug 27, 2005
Theres an announcements page!!!!! Wow
Good subjects, English lit lang or combined? (Come on, lit, its the only real one)
I'm going to Glasgow University in 2 weeks tomorrow to study Eng lit, theatre studies and philosophy. I might change philosophy to politics when I get there though, see how it goes. Gonna graduate in Eng though, maybe combined with theatre.
I celebrated with my gf back to my house on the day and then the day after my mate had a brill bday party, hadn had a house party in ages so was refreshing.
About a year and a half ago when I had to go in for a full Sundays work to do drama the assistant told me about her son's band and how they were up and coming and you know, I thought she was just being a proud mother talking about some nobodies called Kasabian. Six months later....wow.

Galigan Posted Aug 27, 2005
yeah, the announcements page is on the bar on the left in the Brunel skin. you can subscribe to it too so you know when stuff in announced (although sometimes idiots start convo's there and p*ss everyone off).
We do english lit at my school. people only do english language if they request it specially but no-one ever does because it's pointless.
Eng lit, theatre studies and philosophy/politics. cool. you never know what that might get you. become a famous actor and then move into the political limelight ala Ronald Reagan, Us President. If you get to PM can I be head of the Monster Raving Loony Party? Pretty please?
you're saying you know the mum of one of the guys from Kasabian? my advice is get friendly with her. connections can get you anywhere in life.
I'm hoping that one day I'll be a rich political guy (probably PM but it's a bit early to think about that) and then I'll really sort this country out! although we don't do politics as a subject here...
The League Bar
Tony2Times/Prof. Chaos Posted Aug 27, 2005
No we don't either, thats why I chose history cos its the closest thing to it, plus its a worthwhile subject. Can always pick politics up at university anyway.

Galigan Posted Aug 27, 2005
I never liked history at GCSE level because there were 3 separate lots of information to learn and the 2 exams they were slpit into were within 2 days of each other. Still, passed it and now I can give it up. I don't really want to learn about 14th century Russia anyway.
The League Bar
Tony2Times/Prof. Chaos Posted Aug 27, 2005
Ah well for AS level we did American Civil War and British Tory party weakness 1864-1880 then A2 we did 1921-1941 America and 1798-1921 Anglo-Irish relations (of which you will find a lengthy entry that helped me revise so well that I only missed out on 12 of 120 marks) so it was a lot more politically based than 14th Century Russia would be.
The League Bar
Galigan Posted Aug 27, 2005
I am not sure what the other half of the course was for AS but Russia was part of it. I saw those Anglo-Irish entries on the front page. Sorry to say I didn't read them but they looked rather professional. There were 3 of them too.
I've wanted to write a guide entry for a while. So far I've had one idea and one part-idea but it turns out both of them have already been done.

Come Crimson Lady, join The Order of Anarchy, you know you want to. With my power and your agility we could...

Where did the trumpets come from?
The League Bar
Tony2Times/Prof. Chaos Posted Aug 31, 2005
I employ them for dramatic purposes, I find they come in handy every now and again and luckily they know instictively to play when I need them to. Don't anyone else try using them though, they are mine and mine only.

great, I now have a mental image of a full military marching band trying to hide behind the bar.
Must learn to use the clock! I have a driving lesson shortly, and I'm taking my theory test next week. eep!
The League Bar
Tony2Times/Prof. Chaos Posted Aug 31, 2005
Have fun driving, you know they pass you quicker if you run over park benches, public bins and terrorise old ladies don't you?
Well, I would

Galigan Posted Aug 31, 2005
*the marching band make rather concerning deflating-type noises in response to this, for lack of a better word, joke.*

what's all this about the bar rivalling the tearoom? anyway there's nothing wrong with a little friendly competition.
don't mean to be rude but who's MJ? i've seen him/her around but i can't remember if they've joined or not.
