Nope. I'm sure that that variety is really only native to some southern climes ... And probably has an accent as well.

Ah. That slooooow drawl. That may explain the long delay between eggs. "Ain't in no hurry, missus ..."

she just never lays them where we can get them unfortunately.. though there may be some under the deck we're unaware of and won't find until we smell it..

If they remain undisturbed, you'll NEVER smell 'em. But heaven help the critter that goes under and does get curious.

BTW, this brief bout is my last time to h2g2 until quite late in the months ... Some bit of travels soon.

Unfortunately if a critter disturbs them the smell will carry if they are under the deck..

Whether ye be religious or nay, I'd find such a thing a blessing ...

It's in-laws, my friend. One goes along with the flow, ya know. But the 14 hour drive down, days of following about the comings and goings, and then a high-speed 12.5 hour drive return went well.

Tomorrow is MY day of rest !!!

A day which proved FAAAAAR too short. And back to that happy-place that pays the mortgage.

Psssst. It's a bit later ... We survived our "Canada Day" week-end, a yard-party of 35 neighbors, and loads of heat. I hope your Independence Day is going 'swimmingly' for you.

Sorry.. I just noticed this.. I've been a wee tad dain bramaged of late..

No worries, Lady. I'd seen you about, and just expected it was another case of conversations run dry. Been there and done that, ya know?

So then, it's been some time since the majority of works. How are the gardens looking this summer? Our own has strong segments, and some that have simply fizzled out.

The plants are growing out of control and I have added a red rose tree in a lovely planter..

About all we have growing out of control is the grass. From stifling hot and humid to very cool and wet, it's all gone a bit 'batty'.

But I have a sparkly new lawn-mower, and so will tackle it after the currently forecasted (and happening) inch of rain has settled.
