I just got an e-mail from you. With an attachment. I don't think I should have looked at the attachment. Please say you sent me an e-mail and I haven't just cut myself off from the rest of the world with a horrible virus.
It looks awfully suspicious, now I think about it.

and i just appear to have acquired summat called JS_ACTPA.A which my av can't clean/quarantine.

No I did not send you an e-mail.
I have not been online since midnight last night and I would be curious to know what the time stamp says. Also what return e-mail addy is shown. I have accounts at Yahoo and MSN as well as my home ISP provider.
I have just logged on and haven't opened any of my own yet, but something may be going on becasue I heard on the news just now that there is a new virus running round today called 'mydoom'.
I hope it hasn't caused you many problems and I hope you understand it was not of my doing. Of course I also hope my own e-mail is clean.
Thanks for the warning. And thanks to tefkat for the tip about the av not recognising it. I am going to delete all my incoming mail.

I had some fatal error shutdowns yesterday but I traced them to an old enhanced CD I had played earlier.
I did a hot shutdown and then a scandisk and have had no trouble since.

Radio news reports of a new virus called 'MYDOOM' reached my ears before I logged on so I updated my av before opening any e-mail programs.
Online I simply deleted ALL the new mail in both Yahoo and MSN boxes.
There is no record in my 'sent' files anywhere of a recent message to TC, and yet she has reached me at my home service addy by 'Reply'. My av found no viruses. 
I will refrain from mailing anyone without prior warning so, Please, delete anything you get which might appear to be from me until further notice.
The new worm has the ability to change its subject line, sometimes borrowing an old one from your files. It may even be borrowing its identity from your address book. Its only visible feature is as an attachment of 22.5K
