Yeah, if I was a girl and 40 years younger, I'd BE her.
smiley - diva

She really is a refreshing change from all the other bump-and-grindy skinny-blonde air-head bimbos. She is very REAL.

And I like the way she thinks about God, Life, Love, deejays, music and dancing. Thanks for taking time to say you agree. Most people are just too busy dancing smiley - winkeye.

It's a great video. smiley - cheers
It's 'real' and human with none of the flash edits or wire-dancing or that impossibly artificial life-style seen in most recent videos. smiley - ok She presents her philosphy of life in a way that most people down on the real streets see it. God IS a deejay.
Life IS a dance-floor. There WILL be dancing in the streets.

Videos are as close as I get to music these days.
Last live act I saw was Bob Dylan.
He's an old geezer too.

Hmm. Still unclear on the concept. But I will take your word for it.

Maybe I'll cough up a guide entry on Rachel Sweet.

She was a singer from her toddlerhood who later caught the attention of the usual gang of idiots at Stiff records in the late seventies.

While the song choices were often a little strange, she had a strong voice and the chops to carry almost anything off.

After her last hit, a duet with Rex Smith, she went off to college and is now a respected behind the scenes person on many network TV shows, most of them comedies, in the U.S.

I have it on good authority that her live performances were more memorable than her records.

As a late teen, I found her very useful in her skills and presentation.

Yeah, Tefkat, but at least they were working!

Stiff was guilty of many sins, but they gave a lot of pub bands work and exposure that might otherwise have been lacking.
Witness Sparrow's (later most of Huey Lewis's News!) work on Elvis Costello's first incomparable album!
