The Think/Speak Concept (aka: A personal reminder to myself)
Have you ever had one of those times when you just blurted out something, and immediately regretted it afterwards? If you haven't, then you are in a very lucky miniscule percentile. These not-so-well-chosen phrases tend to lead to embarrasment (especially when said in front of people who's minds have a permanent mailing address in the gutter).
The correction for this embarrasing problem is this: Simply think before you speak, instead of after. This of course will take, time, willpower, and much practice, but in the end you will be able to hold your head up high when conversing, instead of down with shame (or giggling) at the nonsense that proceeded from your lips. Thinking will also give you time to think up witty phrases for when someone else slips up, but that is another lesson for another day.
