I once read a 'time and motion report'
The 'expert' came in to watch four men all assembling the same parts for a welded guard rail.
The parts consisted of a sub-rail, posts, pickets and a bottom rail that all had to be assembled and welded into place, before the top rail was snapped into place to cover the welds.
His conclusion was that each of the fabricators assembled the parts in a different order, and he could not possibly tell us who was most efficient unless we made them all do it the same way.
The idiot did not understand that we all knew that before he showed up, all we wanted was to know which way was most efficient so we could tell the others how we wanted it done!
Lord protect us from experts!

The time and motion analysers need also be aware of the well known Hawthorne Effect.

ALL Mississippians can spell Mississippi.
M-ah-crooked letter-crooked letter-ah-crooked letter-crooked letter-ah-humpback-humpback-ah. (Elementary school=Memphis.)
However, it is pronounced 'Miss'ssippi'.

When I was last in Mississippi, it was at the height of a seasonal swarming of local bugs (true hemipterans), called locally (by young men not in gender mixed company) 'f--- bugs', described as being "...utterly harmless and good for nothing except to ruin a paint job."

I'm never convinced how good a measure of intelligence, IQ tests are... same people get differnt results/scores, with differnt tests. Plus of course there are the 'differnt' types of intelligence...
I'm also fairly certian certain jobs can lower ones intelligence....

Don't look so* supprised! I'll have you know, as well as having such qualitications as my cycling profeciency badge, being the 2004 winner of the drunkest person in Bognor Regious award (emeritus), I've actually got a whole pile of real qualitications including a masters degree... sadly my speling has just gotten worserer adn worserer as the years go by, being so relient on spell check facilities Heck, I even scraped a double A grade in English lit and english language GCSE (evidence if any was needed on how standards had droped I'd say....)
plus... I also have a BSC and a SSC as well as my MSc and BSc (Bronze Swimming certificate and Silver swimmign Certificate, as well as my actual masters degree and undergrad degree)
Anyhow. everyone* knows, the IQ tests are designed by te powers that be, and 'The man', they're just another way the people who snoop on us, use their power to keep us down... everyone actually a lot cleverer than they think, and than their IQ scores show, but 'The man' makes us think we're stupid, so we* think we're stupid.... a world population of people who know* they're not clever*, won't ever truely think they've got the power needed to overthrow 'The Man' The FBI, CIA, MI5, MFI, and BHS have been doing this for years to us... no one realises.... but when I try and tell them... its never long, before I hear the sound of splintering wood, as the front door caves in, and the sound of boot-clad feet, and gun toating special agesnts, from 'The man', trampling up my stairs..
oh...
hang on, waht's taht n

On the other hand, almost no human beings are as wise as Socrates, who said he knew that he knew nothing.

I know some things, I also know there are some things I do not know... My stupidity lays in those things, that I am not even aware that I do not know about...
The men with guns, standing behind me, want me to tell you that I made up all that stuff about 'The man' making us appear stupid, by fiddling everyones IQ test.

Every time I think I know a fair bit about a particular thing, I meet someone who knows a lot more.
The one thing I do know is to not stop learning.

How true... I always find motivation difficult thesedays... Mind, I'm looking forward to getting a new mobile phone soon, as symbian no longer exists, I'll have to either go apple or android, and I've decided the android option sounds best (asides anything its a lot cheaper), and, as part of that, it gives me a final push to get myself motivated to learn to code on the android platform... I've sort of been meaning to learn for years, one language or another, so hopefully this time I'll actually* get round to do it

Oo... that sounds simples.... I'll be able to figure out more (and actually do things like finding out how one goes about such things), once I've actually got the device/handset, and have figured out the basics of using a touchscreen with speech ... Still a few days to go before I can get an upgrade on my phone handset (and because I'm a cheapskate I'll not pay anything for a handset if I can avoid it... I must start looking at what handsets are about, the HTC1 looks interesting, but not sure if I'd be able to get that for free, or near* free on an upgrade) Only once I've started using the handset, will I know which bits don't work well, or easily, and so which bits I'd want to find a solution for that might entail coding something
