I did reply to this but obviously it got lost in the ether and updates.....
Or maybe I just clicked the wrong button....
It was something about crying as a form of entertainment....
Since I'm on that subject....
Really the world is sad enough, I don't think one has to make things up to feel bad you just have to look at a bit of it and start caring....
It's not a problem I have often but, hey, you started it....

No you seem to have missed the point am not crying to feel sad but glad when you watch a guy gets girl then loses girl and gets girl again movie it makes me cry then I feel so much better.I can see males don't quite get this concept My friends boyfriend proposed and she started crying with joy not horror as he supposed

And then one sees the skinny child, stricken with all kinds of horrendous diseases, and famine, on the news, with the fat flies buzzing about its face.... And you can't but feel good about yourself cos you gave to the stricken whoever only yesterday...
I don't buy it....
Apparently I'm a bit soft though....
It doesn't mean that you shouldn't feel guilty...

That is when you appreciate how much we have as opposed to my moan about paying the council tax every month.
How much in reality can individuals do to save their fellow man when the governments of the countries involved are controlling the problem.

Ash Posted Oct 28, 2005
I could do the obvious an state that the country involved has a corrupt government....
Sadly, it is the nature of governments to be so.....
If people were slaves, governed by a benign dictator, then most of the problems of the world would cease to exist...
If there were a benign dictator, I reckon they'd last about five minutes and then someone would shoot them...

I still have an unsprained wrist....
The supernatural????
I have made it clear to all and sundry that should life exist after death I will do something with a lightbulb to prove it....
Obviously I'm still alive but others I have mentioned this to aren't....
Various things have happened with lightbulbs after people I knew died... The strangest was after Sam (a dog) had a fatal heart attack in my arms...
2 or 3 days later in the evening there was a kind of pinging sound....
ping,ping,ping,ping,ping,ping... one of the bulbs in the triple light of the sitting room separated entirely from it's fitting and landed unbroken in my hand.....
I thought of my promise to knock out a light after my death until someone remembered why....
After that there was no problem....
In answer to your question....
Nope I don't believe in the supernatural.

My you must have a strong wrist Ash
Your dog died in your arms *am crying because it is tragic*
Why a light bulb?
I think I am too superstitious to not believe my sister in law is heavily into the spiritulist scene but I would never dabble as I already have an overactive imagination .I don't see the point of knowing yoour future if it will happen to you anyway?
Somerset
Ash Posted Oct 29, 2005
If you know your future you can get seriously depressed about it...
Really there isn't much point, all the future can really tell you is how you are to die...
Since it's gonna happen anyway why not make the most of what you do have no matter how short a time it is.
After all, as long as you hurt nobody else you may as well enjoy yourself with the time you have....
