Two weeks of washing
Been in the garden again it turned out to be such a lovely day.

I told you I iron a shirt a day... Sometimes, in times of great need, I iron my trousers too, but I do try and avoid such a sorry state of affairs...
Today I have been mostly been picking apples...
Dad was quite pleased, eventually, and said some good one's came down.....
Personally I'd have said plummetted, the thing is apples seem to grow in pairs or more, if you are picking them you have to be cautious and pick the best apple first (especially if you are using the long armed apple picker thingy that I was...) sometimes I lost whole bunches of perfectly good apples....
You haven't lived until an apple has headbutted you from a height of 20 foot or more...(Well you probably have but you haven't experienced life to the full until an apple has decided to break itself on your head...)
I also obtained a book called Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrel (courtesy of Dad) an interesting read...

Apple picking what a splendid way to spend a weekend I the smell of orchards ,it is very Autumnal. My favourite apples are slightly tart, like discovery or good old cox's .Do you still get Beauty of Bath as a variety now ?
Hope your head isn't too sore from all the apple bouncing it was doing
What is the about ?

The is about magic and bringing it back to Britain in the 19th centuary....
Like you, I love the smell of slightly tart but I meet them less and less these days...(sorry...errrm apples)....
I was picking Charles Ross apparently they are good eaters and you can cook them too...
I have to look forward to the bramleys soon and that's a big of a tree.....Some of those weigh over a lb.... Hopefully they won't hit me on the head...(it's a 30 ft tree at least)....I could suffer terminal drain bamage you know...Thankfully I'm ko fo sar.

The sounds great or should I say sorry for the really bad pun but it is Monday
You have Bramleys oh try them baked in the oven they are delicious, they also make the best apple pie filling in the whole world. It must be a really old tree if it is 30 ft and I bet the blossom is stunning in Springtime
Ash I would wear a hard hat if you are picking those cooking apples those Charles Ross have already affected you enough

I will attempt to obtain a hard hat and danger money before even looking at the tree....

Actually they apparently keep for ages...
Hr'd quite chirpy at the moment cos he had the catheter removed (finally)on Wednesday and didn't have to have it put in again...
It's not something I've ever had done but I really, really do not want to experience it.

Well last night was a pleasant and relaxing one.Today has been far from that *sigh* explained on another post.
At the moment I wish I was on a remote island populated only by exotic feathered birds. There would be fruit trees and the weather would be just sunny enough to bask on the beach.I would stay there until let me think at least after Christmas and New Year
Would need my computer though .... want to come
