...and then shake their heads and go about their own business...
Running a seminar, huh? Impressive! All I did was a childrens birthday party in the woods. And we were 4 adults. I want to sleep and potter around nevertheless...

Milla, any tips on how *not* to take things personally?
Right now, I feel as if all my nerves are on the outside, rather than the inside. And I tend to take *any* chritism personally, and then collapse into a cry fest...
And this kind of behaviour is so completely different to my 'usual' self that I'm not sure what to do, where to go, how to feel...

Sweetheart... The only tip I can think of, is that they may criticise the things you do, but no one can criticise who you are.
And as long as you did what you could, then the outcome is what it is. Take the criticism as tips for next time. (even if that might not be what they intended. B*stards!)
I realise it's not this way you recognise yourself. But maybe you are coming closer to who you really are, by admitting any feelings, and not still being the one who bottled all her feelings up. Let them out, and they will disappear. Keep them in, and they will be with you for a long time.

Long time since I posted in this thread, but I feel much better now, thanks...
I was wondering if you had seen this piece of news:

...regarding my most recent journal - and hey, doesn't that guy I linked to live in your neck of the woods?

COuldn't find any names at all when clicking that link, strangely.
But my neighbour(!) is Charlott Erlansson-Albertsson, and she writes a lot about sugar, sweeteners and fast carbohydrates being bad for you. She has yet to join the "praise fat" league, but she may be possible to convince...
But I'd like to read the article talked about, in Obesity, sounds just along the recent discussions in your journal.

Ah, sorry, I think I was a bit unclear - the person I was wondering about is Uffe Ranskov:

He's listed as a Docent in Lund, but I can't find him as an employee...
Doesn't mean he's not employed though.

Googled his name, and it seems he's been writing about cholesterol, statins and the like a lot!

Any chance of you being available on a chat tonight, or are you busy/otherwise occupied?

It's a possible, but I have to fight the kiddies for PC time. But most of the weekend and evenings next week is fine, they will be with their dad.
I noticed you online last night, but had no time - dinner and bedtime and bills to pay, and a little one worrying over current family finances.
So. I can't promise tonight, but may try.

On the bus on my way to w*rk this morning, I was thinking how nice it'd be if we lived in the same city (no, *I*'m not moving!)
For example, having a 'fika' together.
But I guess that for now, we'll just have to make do with this:
*disappears momentarily only to reappear struggling with a huge wooden tray, painted black and decorated with 'kurbits' patterns*
*walks over to a coffee table, puts down the tray and starts unloading it*
*two pots, one with tea, the other with coffee, both freshly brewed*
*plates and knives*
*napkins*
*a huge *
*a handwoven basket with , , scones, After eights and *
*strawberries*
*several cute little jars with different kinds of marmelade*
*carries away now empty tray, returns pushing a sideboard on wheels which she parks next to the table*
*on the sideboard stands a jar of honey, bowls with different kinds of sugar, fresh slices of lemon, a pitcher with cold milk and a thermos with hot milk*
There! Did I remember everything?
*sinks down on a chair, exhausted*

Would it be rude to have both? I need the coffe (medical reasons... ), but tea with honey sounds perfectly wonderful
Did you whip up all this just now?
