It would be unseemly of me to state my age openly. I might say that we visited 'Venus' of Essex in the autumn of '07, and she decided that she will visit us in late September of '09. And while here, she and Milady will be sure to mark (fiendishly, no doubt) my half-century mark a week or two prematurely.

Ummmm, would you mind terribly if I added you to my 'friends list'? I know that we currently only seem to share one mutual friend, and atleast a pair of yours would probably prefer if I left hootoo. (In fact, leaving the planet might please them too) I have met quite a number of friends through journals of other friends, so if you don't object ... ?

I know of at least 4 that lurk my conversations regularly, and probably a couple more. I even have my own personal Guardian and my own Phantom r. *hugely impressed with self importance*

And the previous post has again proven true. I do apologize for any unpleasantness that you have encountered along the way. These occassional proddings and flare-ups happen, and as it has been made clear that I am guilty from the get-go, I expect sanctions come Monday. No sleep lost here ...

As with most of my friends who see both camps, I expect you'll not feel a need to choose sides. A mind of your own is a wonderful thing. How-ever, I do have one request, please? Give that puppy a good scritching of the chin for me. She is a lovely one.

I wonder what our pair of would do with such a floppy-eared housemate ... I think I'd begin with a couple of weeks of vacation time, just to keep most of the sticks of furniture where they are meant to be.

Well, with four cats bigger than her, it's wisdom, not bravery.

So long as she doesn't learn the lesson of cowering ... Our lad- came in small and full of the playfulness, only to find an old girl who didn't have the vigour to fight back. He's ended up being quite a bully because of it. Fortunately, the gal- that now shares our home stands up well for herself.

We allow the cats to steal her food from under her nose once in a while - keeps the dog humble.

Ah, sounds like the raising of a lad in a house full of women-folks. Seen that done.

The dog will just have the potential to really hurt the cats when she's grown, so better she learns that they're off-limits now!

I'm just a little curious, and with no malice, but why do you become so 'displeased' with comments and such from folks that have a pride in country?

I know that the word 'nationalism' has a dozen definitions and most are not really a compliment. But specifically as an example, a fair number of us Canadians share a certain pride in what "we" have accomplished. Historically speaking, we are very young as a country, and our families of even very recent generations have done a pretty good bit to helping the world at large.

I won't belabour 'stuff' in the testing thread. It has been made clear that pretty much any efforts or volunteer'ism from
one who was 'banned' just isn't going to be accepted. Probably an entirely unexpected bonus of the efforts of some. But
such is the weird and wondrous ways of extended times on a site.

Aside from not recognizing the (not at all like them I have grown, picked and eaten in Canada) the smilies are a welcome
'freshness' to a slightly stagnating site. Well done, BTW
