smiley - laugh The whole system needs to be replaced - and at the very least, I need a clean Windows install. But since I'm right in the middle of a major paper, I don't want to do that now! smiley - doh

No, no, no, ... definitely not in the process of anything ...

My friend Mike, owns and operates a computer shop in my town, replaced my last PC hard-drive (barely within warranty) because it had lost it's mind. And a lot of it's directory structures ... I had begun to transfer 300-plus audio tapes to MP3/labelled/tagged/folders. And that drive began losing tracks and entire folders !!!

I am currently in that hotel room, listening to every available tune I have, on a 160 Gig USB powered removeable drive. smiley - bigeyes

So being the time of year that it is, your studies may be coming to a seasonal close? Anything to fill summer months, such as other educational sessions, world travels, trying to find a nekkid-of-tourist bit of sunny beach somewhere?

smiley - laugh Not really. Classes end, but Uni goes on - have to see the profs every week about our design projects and papers, exams aren't till September...

Will probably do part of my internship this summer and try to spend a few weeks at the new old home farm, renovating smiley - winkeye

It's the time at a farm that I would envy. I worked many week-ends and full summers on them as a younger lad.

Not very farm-y at the moment, we only have the cats - and we're getting a puppy this weekend. But it's a half-timbered house built in 1820 and last renovated in the 50s, so it needs quite a bit of work!

Hey, there ain't nothing wrong with a cat and puppy farm. smiley - biggrin But sooner or later, you're going to have to convince them to add a cow or two. Besides making it more "farm'y", there's just nothing like fresh milk, right from the source. For people and for cats.

smiley - laugh Right now, we need to get *rid* of the cows. Our neighbour runs his dairy cows on our meadow, so we can't keep ponies there at the moment, which we'd like to do. smiley - smiley

Hmmm ... *flips a coin* ... cows or ponies, ponies or cows ...

It's not a decision I'd like to make, quite liking both.

smiley - laugh We can still get milk from the neighbour...

And it's such wonderful country for riding!

I seem to recall seeing you make mention of a penchant for riding. You had always buy a carton or pouch of milk at the corner store, but a beast and a time on fields is more difficult to find, eh?

Are you a rider that does the whole high-boots, painted on trousers and little jacket thing? Or just fit the saddle and bridle, and away you go sort?

smiley - laugh Well, I don't do dressage or anything like that. I prefer being out on the trail - though I do wear high boots, riding breeches and a helmet for comfort and safety smiley - winkeye
