Well, it's in Toronto. Downtown Toronto, which is admittedly convenient for around 10% of the total population of Canada, but to my mind a $16 return bus fare in addition to the actual ticket cost makes a rather expensive cinema trip.

I'd say so, yes... Anyone you know interested in going, that has a car?

Sort of. Well, someone is interested in going and has a car, but doesn't really like driving that much. Plus I tend to find the concepts of "city centre" and "cheap parking" to be mutually exclusive. Of course with enough people going any parking fee would be a fraction of the cost of the bus trip. Unfortunately I'm terrible at organising anything.

Me too, and I may end up being stuck with organizing a meet next summer (As opposed to nagging the organizer to update the page when people sign up, like I did with Jimi)

So you'll get a huge turnout of people who got nagged into coming, but then realise there's not been any events organised?

Actually, since the prospective meet was suggested after I mentioned an event here (well, a few hours south of here) it'd be more like me figuring how to convince people to come (if I'm the one stuck organizing... I'd delegated, but I've not seen her around much lately)

Right. Because you have no experience at all in getting people to attend meets, obviously.

Actually, most the people that ended up coming I had nothing to do with...

Of course, considering that most of the people I got on the maybe list either have parent problems or are in the UK...

Anyway, what's the event and are you going to do a page for the meet? We need to all head over and tell you we're not coming.

It's the end of July, and I told peter the girl that I'd wait to see if she responded by next Monday before I did anything.

Besides, Happy's definately coming to this, since he's the one that insisted that I organize the meet!

Now I read more carefully you did say it was next summer. I suppose there's no particular rush then.

What exactly happens at the garlic festival? I imagine it takes weeks to get the smell out, but on the plus side you wouldn't be bothered by s.
