Hmm

I'm ok. I seem to be having some ups and downs in life at the moment- that was a down. Someimes it just helps to have a moan, so then I can try to move on and cheer up a bit.

>>i think i actually absorbed most of the information i read. as opposed to reading the same paragraph over and over again and getting no meaning out of it.<<

I know, it's always satisfying to know you've been able to learn something, without re-reading several times.

Galaxy Quest's the one that's like a spoof on Star Trek isn't it? I think I've seen it twice now if it issmiley - biggrin, very funny.

Ah I know that feeling. I sit down at the computer at 8 in the evening and all of sudden it's 10!

My sister had a few friends over to play today, they were running all over the house shouting. Kids!smiley - biggrin

They were well behaved though, just a little louder than it normally is here!

i know what you mean! the time just flies on here!!! i completely lose track

last night i was up to some rediculous hour at my friends house. her brother had friends over and she had to baby sit them so she invited me over to keep her company, and perhaps her sanity as well. it was pretty fun, we watched a movie, but now i'm so tired. and its only 8:30

i'm really starting to stress out about how much homework i have. i know that i shouldnt have left it all to the last minute, but at the same time it feels like i havent properly taken a day off in ages.... so i couldnt quite bring myself to start anything. i'm sure i'll regret it tomorrow. as soon as i get up i'll start my homework, and i have no idea when i'll finish. its all making me feel slightly ill prepared to write my anthropology midterm in two days....smiley - erm

i watched 3 agatha christie movies todaysmiley - biggrin

i dont know how the midterm went... but it was rather hard.
the last question was a big essay. it was so hard that my friend taking the same class as me at a differnt time just threw down their pen and handed in the test without finishing the last essay. i dont blame them, it was really difficult!!

i love poirot! hes so full of himself that it makes me laughsmiley - smiley
the movies are the same things as the tv shows except they're just on vhs or dvd. theres all the different kinds too, all based on her books.

Post 30

Hmm

It's about a bunch of people on a spaceship called serenity, there's a war against this group of people called the Alliance (think the Empire from Star Wars)The captain of serenity is on the loosing side he starts smuggling, collects a random crew from various places and gets into trouble when he gives a lift to a girl named River who has visions and stuff. It's by Joss Whedon, the guy who wrote Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I hear it's good.

68%! That's good considering it was a hard test. Sorry it wasn't the kind of mark you wanted. It sounds as thought you weren't the only one to find it hard, though.

Hi!

Sorry I've taken ages to respond, I've been staying somwhere else for a few weeks and they don't have internet, so it's been hard to get on. It was actually kind of odd: things got rather bad at home, so social services wanted to send me to a respite foster family, but I didn't want to go. In the end a friend of my mother's stepped in and said I could stay with her, so that's where I've been. She was nice, though. We just needed a bit of a break, really.

Sorry, I don't think that was the kind of thing you had in mind when you asked how I was, was it?

Anyway, I have got to see a couple of good films in between everything else- Nanny McPhee and The new Harry Potter, no Serenity in the end, though. Ah well I'll have to wait for the dvd.smiley - smiley

Hi!

I've just read your journal entry- well done with your results!smiley - bubbly

Thanks for asking about things. Sometimes it's good to be able just blurt out things, but I don't like making people feel uncomfortable. Anyway, thankssmiley - hug.

Ah Christmas, I love this time of year!

Christmas day was lovely, we all stayed at home (me, mum and my sister.)
for most of the day opening presents and such. After dinner smiley - drool we all piled in the car, and went to help out at the church where they were holding a Christmas dinner for the elderly. It was actually mum's idea, I just tagged along and sis only agreed to come because I was going. But it was fun, I'd almost fogotten how much I enjoyed helping out at things. When we got back we watched a hilarious adaptation of The importance of being Ernest with Colin Firth, Judy Dench and I forget who else. Er I've watched Shrek and The Two Ronnies and a little bit of Poirot..Oooh and Narnia which was brilliant.smiley - magic

How about you?smiley - xmaspud

thank yousmiley - smiley i worked too hard, but it seems to have paid off.

and i didnt feel uncomfortable, i know how good it is to sometimes be able to tell someone things.

ahh.. christmas... let me see. as usual i woke up first so i made coffee for my dad, put the kettle on with my mom, and turned on all the christmas lights. after we all opened presents we each talked and then did whatever we wanted to do for the day. i helped my dad with making salad for the christmas dinnr, talked on msn with a friend, and watched some dvd's.

todays been quite nice. i'm well on my way to finishing my duvet cover and i've watched a movie and a half so far. i watched a verson of dracula with some guy whos name i cant remember, and also i'm half way through the mummy. its such a good movie!

i'm in the kitchen making pasta right now, so i suppose i should go and watch it or i'll end up with something weird.

Sounds like you're having a well deserved rest after all that studdying.

Mmmmm pasta, one of my presents was a book of pasta recipies, including recipies with rhings like squid and red chillies. That will certainly have interesting results when I try them out. Hope it turns out alright.

Are you making a duvet cover then? smiley - bigeyes That must be fun.
