There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho Posted Apr 1, 2001
W**king on Saturday and Sunday is great - the commute takes 10 minutes instead of 25, the day goes so much quicker 'cos we're so much busier at the store, the boss doesn't w**k weekends, and I get days off during the week when everyone else is at w**k, and the shops/laundry room/roads/etc are so much quieter . Also, you know it always rains on the weekend

Hi Mushroom! Well, working on Saturdays is pretty illegal, and is considered sacreligious, if you happen to be a Jew, (which I happen to be), mostly a religious one (which I'm not) . But still, Saturday is a good day for doing nothing, and over here, a bad Sat. is a rainy Sat. Usially it's sunny on weelends, even in winter.

not working weekends in the states is liable to get you fired in most professions. not that you are required to work weekends, but in most cases you must be available to work them. one aspect of a 24-7 society, i guess.
i'm off today tho! i was off yesterday too! but if i hadn't been going out of town i would have had to work on saturday, and i wouldn't have found out about it until after noon on friday.

well, i've never been to seattle before, so this afternoon he and his friend are going to show me around town, go downtown, see the touristy things, tonight we're going for dinner and dancing (yay)! tomorrow i think we're going to the coast, or maybe to the mountains, one or the other. i don't have to go home until tuesday afternoon

I know what you mean Lady Elly! I find I say "over here" just assuming everyone knows what I'm talking about! And you know what happens when you assume (ass/u/me).
