*puts find over B-17's eyes*
Guess Who?
*waits to be discovered*
Ah, you knew!
Glad you slept well. Kids on holiday already there? Not until around 25th here.
Also in the Guard. yesterday was an article about the effects of shifts on health and wellbeing. It's very true.
You've had busy night 'Acing'. Very responsible of you. I was never 'Aced' in the way that others are. Phil dropped by to say hi first.
How's the night been?
The golden flash
Babel17 Posted Jul 12, 2000
Quiet, obviously
So what did the article say?
(it was the perfume that gave you away )
And what time do you call this? Really early for you, no?
The golden flash
coelacanth Posted Jul 12, 2000
The perfume. Ah. We must remember Sporky's hermetically sealed in there too, just waiting to burst out of a cupboard with a bucket of water or something. Very nice tho .
I call this 4.50 and awake since 4. Combination of many small niggles, smowballing. Nothing serious.
Article talks about depression, general ill health due to irregular eating, higher incidents of accidents etc. Suggests that when you sleep, you make room as dark and quiet as poss. If you leave work in daylight, wear dark glasses (and I know you have some )so that you body does not go into day mode.

Actually I think Sporky is hermetically sealed in the outer office,
along with Miss er Smith. (must try and work that in. also can't wait for the next instalment, hint, hint My glasses are steaming up just thinking about it!)
Depression:true
General ill health:no
Irregular eating:no, due to generally using the 'when hungry' method
or the 'time based' method. i eat breakfast when I get up, lunch anywhere between 2 and 5 hours later and then dinner whenever.
Generally wear my sunnies going home because it can be terribly bright after the artificial lights all night. (no windows)
Just been reading your tea room antics with Gwennie et al, and wondering whether to pop in or not

coelacanth Posted Jul 12, 2000
No hint needed m'dear! Ahem. Very nice this time of the morn.
Article mentions cardiac problems, higher incidence of coughs and colds, and disrupted family and social life adding to depression. Also 'sleep debt'. You are doing the right thing with the eating though. (It's why I installed the junk food meter, but I'll switch it off if you are a good boy).
Do pop over. Sweep me off my feet there too! That'd give the old dears a shock!

Babel17 Posted Jul 12, 2000
The disrupted lifestyle and sleep debt I can understand. Come Sunday
Mr Grump will be back for a couple of days. I am a lot better with my food recently. Purely because I have put on more weight. Nothing to do with the amount of alcohol consumed over the last few weeks
I shall pop over at some point. Need to think about the next instalment
What time are you heading off? I'm off in about 15 mins. I get away early!!! Shock horror. Take it while I can.

coelacanth Posted Jul 12, 2000
Off now. Been here way too long! Must get ready for the day ahead.
Eating problems also listed. Ulcers etc, due to snacking on junk like chips. I'll try and look after you and leave healthy stuff.
email v soon, perhaps there when you wake.
Sleep well and sweet dreams.

Did indeed have a good day today. Loadsalaffs. Confessed to my class about a huge practical joke which almost backfired on me last year. They found the story hilarious, which it was. (3 of us invented a bogus student, and she won a prize in a school competition. Whoops!)
While you sleep, I work, while I sleep, you work, but who knows where or when we will meet up.
*leaves fruit bowl for healthy snacks, and makes sure there is juice in the fridge. Leaves Post It: "No junk food, and wear your shades"*
A busy Thursday for you.

Sorry, busy there and then got caught up in the 'moment' over on ACE!!
Check it out. I hope you aren't too dissappointed, but the potential and the next act have been set. I'm all goosepimply thinking about it. Hopefully it will give you a little lunchtime flutter
The golden flash
coelacanth Posted Jul 13, 2000
Morning, noon and night time flutter actually! All of a quiver! I've not replied yet, but I wait for "Later"

Poop, must have just missed you.
I see the scene opening as you are sitting in the coctail lounge, sipping something cool and tall. But I shall leave it up to you.
(logged on from home just now, just checking in )
The golden flash
coelacanth Posted Jul 13, 2000
Your arrival got there safe and sound I hope?
Let's play hide and seek, and lose the 'extras' in the scene.

Indeed, I called Glasgow this evening and all is well, though very tired.
Me too. Didn't sleep at all well. And my back is killing me, must have pulled a muscle or slept awkwardly. To boot, I get into work and all hell has broken lose, and it has taken about 3 hours to get to logging on and catching up.
Depressed. Right, I'll start counting and you hide
