It looks wonderful. As you know my sister is coming over today to stay for a couple of days, so that should be nice. I might even get a chance to rattle a quick email off to you before she gets to the house. Only 5 hours sleep for me today. Try to get back into sleeping at normal times again. So % hours. Hopefully up just after 2pm, and then run through until midnight at whicxh point off to slumberland again. Look forward to the Regency. (perhaps I should logon as soon as I wake up and then go for a cold shower )
So enjoy your big 'girls outing' today.
BTW, J sanctioned the OK for the scotmeet on 5th Aug
She was quite enthusiastic that I go! and here was me wondering how to break the news to her. I had my 'I'll only go for a couple of hours' arguement all ready, but she seemed fine that I can go for as long as I can be bothered. Can you tell I am quite tired? I don't think my spelling is quite on the ball. I know my typing is't and keep correcting myself

Not to worry about being tired, I'm glad just to see you here. Do sleep well. I know all about the permanent jet lag feeling, so get as much rest as you can. The Regency will be there when you are ready. Enjoy! Just scene building atm
Our dasy should be good, as ther are fun activities for the kids too. But it looks like rain. for drive.
Plans for outings with your sis?
Scotmeet is looking good then. J understands which is excellent. (btw, I've always wondered. I know you are only part Scot, some Eng (?) but do you have an accent? I've seen you write here in one, but is it like that RL? Just curious . Me? I could have ended up sounding like an extra in "East Enders". I put it on for a larf sometimes, but it's not for real.)
Sweet dreams

Sshhhh! I'm incognito.
It's going not too bad. Sorry I haven't emailed. I woke up after 4 hours sleep yesterday, to find that the girls were only 10 mins away in the car, so I didn't even get a chance to power the PC up!
Nice to see my sister though. My cousin came over too, so there I was surrounded by 3 women yesterday. we sat out on the patio with various drinks (non alcoholic for me, as I was only just up) and my neighbour shouts over the fence 'You lucky b*****d, how come you get to have 3 women, and I bet you won't even share!' he is so funny sometimes
then we went ot the pub for a beer at about 7 and then eventually had tea at about 9. Got to bed at 1am. Woke up at 8 and thought oh, oh, hangover! That's what I get for drinking after a nightshift and very little sleep. So I slept until 11. Took my cousin to the bus station and my sister is staying until tomorrow, so she and J are spending a girlie evening together.
How was somerset house?

You had a good day though
There are more links to Somerset House in my journal on my page. First time ever that the building is open. I can see it becoming a meeting place in London. I parked right outside for free on Sunday The art is wonderful, and I know nothing really.
I could only sit in my garden here if I was well wrapped up and had an umbrella handy. Brrr. Might be better tomorrow. I hate the cold.

Catch you later. Glad yesterday was good.

Cool. The supermarket must be close by, either that or you were going so fast, you met yourself going the other way !

I had a strange experience like that once.
When I was at college, I used to have to walk from my flat along the side of the canal and up to college. This was a winters morning, and was bright, but very misty. You could only see about 20 feet infront of you. I was walking along, still a bit asleep, when this figure started to materialise out of the mist in front of me. It was about my height, wearing blue jeans and a brown leather jacket, baseball boots and had a rucksack slung over his left shoulder. Same as me! My mind started to think all sorts of weird thoughts, especially as everything was shrouded in mist, there was no birdsong, and very little actual noise, despite the main road only 40 feet away on the other side of the canal.
We drew closer and closer and I convinced myself more and more that this was me walking towards myself, until he materialised fully and just happened to be wearing similar clothes to myself.
it took me about an hour to calm down after that!

I'm not surprised! How very bizarre. I think I'd have been quite shaken and not wanted to take that path again.
I'm off in a bit - other RL duties to attend to. Might be back later.

Strawberry Hill was a wonderful place. It's where I played croquet for the first time in my life (the second being over at Greebo's party ) The actual college site is here:
http://www.smuc.ac.uk
but it was London uni when I was there, not Surrey.
It was just the history and soul of the place that made it something special. Where I am going has the same feel to it.
How's the shift been?

Haven't had much of a chance to check it out as yet. Shft has been ok, up until 10pm, when we have hit a couple of problems, so it's a wee bit busy just now. So I better get on. Will try and be on again tomorrow. Been fun though
Have a good sleep and a good day tomorrow.
No doubt yu will get more and more emotional as the week progresses!

How did you know? I came close to needing them today. Tomorrow may be the start of it, but the real goodbyes begin on Wed night, through to Fri lunchtime. Wed. eve we go out for staff end of term meal. I'm being driven, (v rare) so I can actually drink! Not much tho.
Spent 1hr on phone to YL this evening. He's in a panic. I've made it look too easy
