I would love to help on the underguide, if anyone wants help.

Do you think we'll use the same categorization system as the EG?
Hello, new person, whose name I forgot. Have you volunteered to be a miner? I'm sure they'll let you in because they're desperate and trusting.

miner is the Underguide term for scout, and generally a volunteer. It's a bit confusing, I know. Frankly I like the term Miner a lot better than scout.

Hmmm... I'd like that.

You might want to go over a little bit of the backlog, and make yourself familiar with AWW, I'll get you a link to volunteer, but while it's unofficial, no one accepts your volunteering, and there is not much to do. You'll get better info when the leaders talk to you.

Hi Mort! Good to see you here. The MSN group IS wide open for business.
If you want to Mine for the Underguide, please add your name to the Volunteer thread hanging off: A969627.
fwt - there are two problems with the MSN group - one is that it is using .8 of my 3.0 meg space on MSN. This would not be a problem, but I have tried giving money to MSN on several occasions to get them to increase my limits and they just don't like my dosh for some reason. When this looks like turning official, I would prefer the BBC to be funding it, especially as the volume will increase indefinitely.
The other problem is that it will need to be closed and become Miners-only, and I think that some important for-the-record conversations have happened there, which I would like to keep available to hootooers.

At the risk of being labeled a nagger...
Does anyone have a list of AWW entries we're thinking about?
will go back to categorizing

i advise yahoogroups. they are free, easy to set up, and what are being presently used for the other volunteer groups.

So far as I am concerned, any entry in AWW is a possible UG entry. It is quite clear that a lot of them are not *suitable* but that is a different matter.

I was reading the backlog of the MSN site, and I'm sort of surprised that you are still going on with this sense of trust, after the issues with spook.

It is *because* of spook that we are going with the 'trust' approach as you call it.
Everyone deserves an even break. Everyone deserves to be 'innocent until proved guilty'. Everyone deserves the chance to prove themselves.
It is arguable that people don't deserve endless chances, and that once they are proved guilty then they should have to deal with the consequences. But this is a brand new scheme, and it should start with a clean slate and an approach of trust.
Or so I think.

Jodan, you're wrong
There's plenty of things for Myst to do! [Hi by the way ] If you nip over to AWW [<./>RF5</.> ?] just make your presence known: looking at entries and commenting on what you think of it etc [though keeping positive]
You could also log onto the offsite forum [which I'm sure Ben would give you a link!] and then read contribute etc.
Ben...point taken, but hotmail fora are so much better :-!
