You've Stumbled Upon the Land of Mdy H20s
Hello!
My name is Mdy H20s and I live in the Northeastern US in the State of Maine. I am a jack-of-all-trades and master of none, with a fondness for gardening and the blues.
A Bowl of Petunias
There have been farmers and gardeners in my family for at least a couple of hundred years, so I guess it's in my blood. I've created a personal web page featuring my gardens. Stop by for a visit anytime. [[url removed by moderator]
It's All About Tradition and Personal Expression
I've been interested in music all my life, and a mediocre musician for most of it. Check out some of my favorite links and photos at [url removed by moderator]I got my first taste of live blues in 1978 when I attended an Eric Clapton concert. Unfortunately, Eric was not at his best that night, but the opening act, Muddy Waters, blew me away. I am very fortunate to have experienced one of the best bluesmen to hit the planet Earth.
Some of My Favorite Quotes:
Groucho [Julius Henry] Marx
"You call this a party? The beer is warm, the women are cold, and I'm hot under the collar."
"I never forget a face, but in your case I'll make an exception."
Mae West (I'm No Angel, 1933)
"When I'm good, I'm very good, but when I'm bad I'm better."
Harry S Truman
"The only new thing in the world is the history you don't know."
Ted Baxter (The Mary Tyler Moore Show)
"An ounce of perversion is worth a pound of cure."
Winston Churchill
"If you don't look the facts in the face, they have a way of stabbing you in the back."
Stevie Ray Vaughan
"It took me quite a while to realize that the real deal is to be able to be enough of a person on your own to know when somebody loves you and cares about you."
Dongshan (771-853)
"Just don't seek from another
Or you'll be far estranged from self.
I now go on alone
Meeting it everywhere
It now is just what I am
I now am not it.
You must comprehend in this way
To merge with thusness."
