Hi from me too, Eilis. Glad you finally made it...
No smileys in this posting...
well..
Oh, just the one.
Welcome

Never mind, Peet.
Thanks for the message. Thanks for all the time you and Peta took today. I'm sure it will all work out in the end. I'm not an emoticon snob as long as there isn't a line of animated ones giving me a headache. When I work out how you get them I'll send you one.
Love the extended moniker btw.
Eilis xx

Thanks. My name's just sort of been picking up detritus for the last six years...

Hi Eilis
just came for another look around and thought I'd wave to a familiar face

Hello, DKB
I'm still groping round here trying to familiarise myself. I've added you, Anne-Marie and Denise to my "friends" list. I don't seem to need your permission to do that, hope you don't mind.
I keep thinking I'm not getting back to people. I can hold about 20 different threads in time order in my head but haven't got to grips with this yet. I hope to do so eventually.
Eilis xx

Hi Eilis
I've just noticed that there is a 'this is a reply to this posting' button, which could be handy. It's not the name as the branches we're used to, but with the branches you can't always see what's what in a busy thread.
I actually think that this format could be more user friendly that the POV version that we're going to get, though that could be because I've not dared dip my toe in the water over there.
BTW I think that we could probably all so with all the friends we can get!

DeeKay, Peta from The Hub has said there's no problem with us getting an "In reply to..." button too. It's a standard feature, it's just that the folk over at PoV chose not to have it.
Welcome

In that case I can't see the problem in not having the tree format, you often can't tell which post a reply is referring to anyway.
The only problem is 'see latest post' then (IMvHO). I don't know how they'll get around that one though.
sounds more Borg than h2g2! Especially as we are going to be assimilated......
